Wonderful peaceful stay

What a lovely Italian countryside property. The hosts are very welcoming and we were made to feel at home. It is very quiet, peaceful, incredibly clean, and a lovely big pool for an afternoon cool down. Wonderful people and wonderful place

We were received very warmly by Mara and Franco, who took great care of us and were always willing to give us advice.The apartment was nice and clean, the pool was wonderful. We made lovely trips to Pisa, San Gimignano and Peccioli and enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you, Mara and Franco!

This place was fantastic. Great to relax and unwind, especially by the pool, which was amazing! The apartment has everything you need. The location is great and visiting the tourist attractions such as Pisa, Lucca and Siena are very easy by car. The local pizza restaurant in Terriciola is amazing. Franco and Mara were so friendly and helpful, providing recommendations of places to visit in and around the local area. I would highly recommend staying here!!

Amazing Views and Friendly Hosts

My husband and I had a fantastic time here! The hosts were so warm and welcoming. They gave us super helpful tips for exploring the area and were so kind as to cook us a meal our first night. The views from the area were spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mara and Franco's appartment, it's very spacious, kifs friendly and comfortable. The view is amazing and we could enjoy the terrasse every morning. We warmly recommend this place also for the kindness and generosity of our hosts.

Peaceful getaway off the beaten track.

Mara and Franco are great hosts and even cooked us and the 2 other families staying a lovely evening meal washed down with wine from Franco's vineyard. It's centrally located in Tuscany and most place s can be reached in 90 mins, so is a great base. It's quiet and relaxing but a little too far from bars and restaurants for our liking. It means that you are at least 15 minn drive from anything, except 1 very good pizza restaurant 5 mins down the road. The apartment is basic but comfortable.

A perfect getaway

Rarely are the descriptions of a holiday property/location totally accurate but in this case you actually get what you expected. Stunning views from all angles. Opportunities to be active or lazy. Lovely accomodation clean, well equipped and comfortable. The whole family are great, friendly and helpful. The fabulous meal we enjoyed on our arrival was fantastic and introduced us to the delights of Tuscan food. The location for us was a good base for visiting many of the sites -Volterra with its amazing ruins, San Gimignano, Lucca with its superb walls, Piza , just driving around the area through the villages was delightful if somewhat scary at times- the driving certainly keeps you on your toes. We are already trying to make a date to revisit.

Beautiful apartment located in stunning scenery

We arrived late in the evening after getting lost (We didn't have a map or a satnav!), to a very warm welcome from Franco and Mara who showed us up to our accommodation (Merrigio). It was such a relief to be provided with a bottle of wine and a tasty meal as we were all hungry. The next morning we found that our accommodation and surroundings were every bit a beautiful as they looked in the photographs. Our family (2 children) found the apartment perfectly sized, very clean with all the facilities you require for a comfortable holiday. We found the situation perfect-45 mins from Pisa and close enough to Florence to travel there by train. It also has a remote quietness that help you relax by the pool and enjoy the peace. The kids loved the pool and were in there every day. Franco and Mara were the perfect hosts, and loved getting the fresh fruit from Franco every couple of days. The meal they provided for everyone on our final night, (at no extra cost) was beautiful. There is a large supermarket within a 10 minute drive away but there is also a small shop 5 minutes walk away in Morrona. There is also plenty of lovely places to eat around, Il Cigliere in Terricciola was our favourite. Overall, this was a superb holiday and could not not find any fault at all. We would highly recommend Podere Costantino. We will definitely be back

Sehr schöne Unterkunft

Wir waren zum 2. Mal in dieser schönen Unterkunft und es war einfach nur herrlich. Mara und Franco sind sehr hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich, lassen einem aber auch absolut die Privatsphäre. Wir hatten unsere Fahrräder mit, das war für uns jeden Morgen das Highlight die Umgebung mit dem Fahrrad zu entdecken. Der Pool ist wunderschön und auch die Liegemöglichkeiten top. Man sollte hier erwähnen, dass die Eigentümer auf Bademützen bestehen (ist für uns Deutsche sicherlich gewöhnungsbedürftig). Der eine Stern bzgl der Sauberkeit geht ab, da das Badezimmer bei unserer Ankunft nicht saubergemacht wurde. Wir haben uns aber ansonsten sehr wohl gefühlt und können diese Unterkunft absolut empfehlen. Vielen Dank an Mara und Franco.

Lovely Apartment in quiet tuscan location

We had a lovely stay and the owners were so so friendly and welcoming, leaving us free food on day one and bringing us meals and cake from time to time. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and easy to find. Check in was easy and Franco gave us advice and tips to enjoy the local area and explore the sights. It was very very hot and the lack of air con was hard but fans were provided. The pool was quiet and relaxing - much needed for a cool down dip, we played for hours with our little boy who had a great time. The play area was a little dated and needs refreshing but it was nice to have somewhere to occupy children. Only other point was that the beds were very hard and could do with a mattress topper. Overall lovely owners who give a wonderful welcome to a wonderful place. Excellent value for money.

Traumferien in Morrona

Die Wohnung sind im Italienischen, einfachen und zweckmässigen Stil. Alles war sehr sauber und alles was man benötigt gut vorhanden. Die Lage in der Natur wunderschön. Der Swimmingpool eine Perle. Was sehr beitrug zu dem sehr schönen Aufenthalt war die überaus angenehme Gastfreundschaft der Vermieter Mara und Franco. Sie waren sehr grosszügig und aufmerksam, gleichzeitig haben sie sich nicht aufgedrängt und auch zurückhaltend. Man muss sie ins Herz schliessen. Alles in allem seit Jahren wieder sehr erholsame Ferien für uns. Einziger Nachteil wäre, dass es ein Auto braucht und die Distanzen ans Meer oder anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten doch auch in die Km gehen.
