“I felt comfortable as a solo traveller. But then it was my home town for nearly 40 years. However staff fantastic. I didn't check in until quite late in the day, and was told my room would be in the 1st not grounds floor which I had asked for. But the reason was the lock on my ground floor was playing up and needed a repair. But I could lock from inside and although it was a struggle I managed it so it was my choice to take the ground floor. Peaceful night. Nice shower. Found duvet in……

“The bathroom was dirty, clearly had not been cleaned properly in some time, there was hair all over the floor, dirt build up around the shower tray and shower itself. Windows were also very dirty. The breakfast bag is not worth it as it’s not ready to go you have to wait 10mins for the hot part!”

“Hamilton’s is a very nice bijou bread and breakfast with some interesting history. After staying there one night I was inspired to go to Books on Sea and pick up a copy of a history of Lady Hamilton!
My daughter and I stayed in a lovely double room with a view of the back garden; we slept very well. The bed was very comfortable and there were lots of amenities including plenty of tea and coffee. The hairdryer was full power, thankfully. I had a peek at the suites and they are absolutely gorgeous……
