"Bed was extremely hard, shower head would not stay up and water kept going cold. Outside the room (outdoors) offered very little privacy and we thought we were getting a beach view but ended up looking at a pile of flax. Pretty disappointing for the price :("

Clare the host keeps the home well stocked with all the essentials that you need to just settle in and enjoy. Positioned in a great location with easy access to all of the local amenities."

"There was parking outside every unit for 1 vehicle. The rooms were fresh and provided the needed towels and blankets. Extra pillows and blankets in the room too. The owner Simon went above and beyond when we arrived, during a power cut (Narly storm chased us into Hokitika). He made sure we knew what was open for food and that we had a candle for a room until the power came back on."

Livingstone Retreat is perfect for family's & large groups to relax & enjoy!

"The house was very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is very well equiped. The property manager quickly dealt with problems. Suggestions for improvement - the lounge and bedrooms were very dark so we struggled to read. Could do with better lighting. And some instructions, eg oven, light switches could be labelled."
