“On smaller loch ard, near Loch Lomond, this hotel is off the beaten path. It’s beautiful and peaceful with amazing views of the water from every window. The hosts are so welcoming and we wish we would have planned to stay longer. They also saved us a lot of driving time by letting is know of a road closure that wasn’t on google maps. The food was good also but I can’t say enough about the hospitality.”

“This community owned and run Inn is fantastic. The staff and locals are friendly and could not be more welcoming. The bedrooms are large and well appointed and quiet. The chefs do a great job producing excellent home cooked meals. The only thing to remember is that they don’t serve evening meals on Monday or Tuesday but as there are other places locally this was not an issue.”

“I stayed here so that I could attend the Highland games in Crieff and was only here just over 13 hours. Keep in mind that it's an old building with no a/c or lift and you'll be just fine! I took only the things I needed for the night in with me (leaving the rest in my car, where it felt very safe) and I slept with the window open and I was just fine (I'm very warm-blooded). The breakfast was great, but the icing on the cake is that the owner is a hoot! I really enjoyed chatting with her, even……

“They told us up front there was no A/C, but we figured, 70 and raining would be fine. Well was 79 and sunny, and with only one tiny window that only opened 2 inches, the place was like sweatbox. The upside, is that the staff were wonderful! The restaurant next door has a great pub, and excellent fish and chips!”

“Everything about this hotel was close to perfect. The Castle itself was outstanding. The photographs dont do it justice. We wish we had booked an extra night to enjoy it for long but we will be back. We used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both meals we still talk about. Staff all really helpful and friendly as well. We look forward to our next visit!!!”
