“Easy check in at the bar, our room was small but fine for us, the only thing lacking is a mini fridge. The hosts and locals are great, friendly and down to earth people. “A perfect place to stay after a long day's walk on the Nidderdale Way. The appartement was lovely and warm when we arrived and enjoyed a good hot shower in the shower room. The kitchen was small but everything we needed to make breakfast before starting the next leg of the walk, The bed was very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Had a good meal and a couple of good pints in the Crown Inn which was only a 2 minute walk away.”

“River Dance cottage is a comfortable.clean and well presented holiday stay. The owners go to great lengths to ensure you feel welcome, and also have everything you need. A welcome pack of wine and tasty cookies are left for you to enjoy, the cottage has a fitted kitchen with all amenities. The towels are thick and fluffy too. “We have been returning to Flowery Dell now for approx twenty years so they are definitely doing something right! We love the location and the woodland and fields for our little dog to exercise in. The lodges are comfortable, clean and spacious and every little thing is thought about with care, even a Xmas tree to greet us this time! The staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive and it's our go to for relaxation and destress.”

“Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.”

“A very enjoyable stay with some lovely weather. The lodge was in a nice location and very well maintained. The only problem was with the bathroom and en-suite shower they were both very tight for us with limited mobility. We appreciated the disability pack but that just took up extra room. We loved the area and seeing all the wildlife e.g. rabbits around.”
