「The home is clean and cozy and as advertised in a rural area but only 15 to 20 min from Richmond and tons of activities. Several wineries are much closer, grocery store 5 min away. What stood out the most to me though was the host! You will never find a more generous, gracious, accommodating host. Great with communication too. Overall a lovely experience」

「We had a great stay here over Christmas - the house was perfect for what we needed - three families, close to attractions, comfortable, lots of communal space but also a space to step away so it didn't ever feel too crowded even though there were a lot of us. The kitchen was really well stocked - far better than most vacation rentals - so we could cook a large dinner quite easily. The host communicated clearly and was responsive to all contacts. It worked out perfectly. 」

「The house is great and is very well appointed. The hosts have made every effort to make it feel like home. The kids loved the playground in the yard and shared the trampoline with the neighbors. Great for entertaining with plenty of dishes and utensils and pots and pans. Even an air fryer!! The hosts were great and answering any questions quickly and helped one of the other families recover a Christmas present left behind. Would stay there again next New Years! 」

「The location is great and was close to everything we needed. Grocery store less than :5min, quiet and not on a main road. Our stay was quick, one evening, so we didn’t use any kitchen items. Host was quick to respond. Overall no issues, extra towels & seemed to be stocked with whatever you might need for your stay. One shower so keep that in mind. Our three adults rotated through and no complaints on losing hot water.」

「Wonderful house and property; spacious, clean, well-equipped. Internet connection was flawless. Home theater was a nice touch. Excellent refrigerator and freezer space with two in kitchen area. Guest house was very helpful. Property well maintained and welcoming atmosphere. One of the best things in our experience was the availability of the host who responded to our concerns an inquiries super quick and was always helpful. "The property itself is quite good—newly renovated facilities, a convenient location, and a nice free breakfast. It’s easy to see why it has a 9.0 rating and overall, it’s worth it. However, I was assigned a room right next to the ice machine and emergency exit. I checked in late at night and didn’t realize the potential for noise. Unfortunately, the receptionist didn’t mention anything about it, even though I was traveling with kids. Starting as early as 6 a.m., guests began walking around for breakfast, some trying to open the emergency exit—which triggered a loud alarm. The real issue started after 7 a.m, when the emergency exit began functioning as a regular door. Guests continuously came in and out, causing the door to slam shut every 2–3 minutes. The loud banging made it impossible to rest. It was truly exhausting and disrupted our rest completely. Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the main reasons to stay at a nice hotel, and sadly, that didn’t happen here. All in all, this property is ok—but if you're assigned room 126, 128, or any room near the emergency exit, request a room change to avoid a similar experience. "
