Quiet, Cozy Cabin in the Woods

Location was great and easy to get to. You could tell the cabin was well cared for and in great shape. There is one cabin that is forked off of the same driveway as the cabin we rented, but still far enough away to not be intrusive.

Graduation celebration

We came up to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Appalachian State. This was the perfect house for us to all gather and celebrate her. We enjoyed all the games and the pool table. The hot tub felt great and the sunrise over the mountains was beautiful. We would definitely love to come back again.

Family vacation was amazing

My family enjoyed the stay at the Barley Behaving cabin. It was a beautiful cabin and in an area all to yourself. The only downfall was you do not have any cell phone service but you have wifi so it was fine. For some reason the water pressure was in and out when taking shower. But other than that we enjoyed our stay.

We "beary" much enjoyed this cabin

The photos do not do this place justice. I know that the "bear-Core" can go a bit overload at placed, but this was just right. Three levels with a bathroom on each which was awesome for our crew. Fun game room with pool table and darts. Kid friendly but yard has a big slope so ya gotta watch closely. Beautiful fireplace. Great location- 25 mins to boone, 40 to Banner Elk. Gravel windy road so I suggest 4wd. Grill needs replacing, and hot tub was a bit small for 3 adults and 2 small kiddos, but all in all a nice perk. The wifi worked well too! The deck and swing out back were lovely. All in all- we had a blast and would totally come stay here again.

The cabin has a large back deck - we loved the bed swing!! This place was just right for our family of 5 adults - loved having 3 full baths! Located in Todd, NC, please be aware that the Todd Railroad Grade Road is very narrow and curvy. If you're new to mountain driving, take it slow and easy! Also, the last 1/2 mile to the cabin is a gravel road. No rain during (or before) our trip so muddy travel was not an issue. The cabin is a good home base for activities in and around Boone/Blowing Rock/Banner Elk - would stay here again.
