Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture. "The hotel is old but historic. The rooms were ample and very comfortable. The staff was super nice and went out of our way to help us feel welcome. The location is perfect, very close to the temples and at a 5 minute taxi ride from the train station. Also walkable in half an hour or less. Breakfast was very good. I would have stayed one night longer to be honest."
