"We had an authentic Japanese experience staying here. The location was perfect - the house was on a quiet street while still being very close to the main attractions in the Gion area. The interior was beautiful, clean and well insulated with heated floors and AC in each room. Beds were very comfortable and the upstairs living offered a lovely veiw of the Yasaka Pagoda. "The staff were very helpful and the room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and rain shower. One small drawback was the bench seat in the room which had a pre-existing stain. The laundry facilities were very good and we enjoyed the lounge for drinks and appetizers. Location was excellent and was right next to the subway."

"i've booked with this hotel twice already. immediately after my first trip i was adamant that if i came back to kyoto again i had to rebook at this same hotel. the hotel is very close to the subway station and has many convenience stores nearby. it was great having laundry available and the service was very cheap as well. the highlight of this hotel is the onsen there are many different baths. I do wish that the women's bath had an ice bath though as the mens bath did. however the onsen was perfect to decompress after a long day of walking. they have tattoo covers available free of charge as well. they also offer free yakult and ice cream during the day and night respectively. the night time free soba in the cafeteria was also great for a late night bite. their morning breakfast buffet was also amazing so much variety, definitely worth it. overall whenever I'm in kyoto this hotel will be my first choice over other accommodations. from all of my travels this hotel is definitely one of the most memorable accommodations i’ve stayed at. highly recommended."
