"Beautiful place to stay. Phillip and his mom (and the whole staff) go out of their way to make you comfortable. We were in a room with the view of a lifetime! Homecooked meals for dinner, and the breakfast had fresh bread brought from the local bakery which was the best we had in Portugal. Pool was so refreshing, we were there during a heatwave. Air-conditioning in the room worked well. Bed was comfortable."

"Absolutely stunning property and incredible overall stay-beautiful room in Eira lodge, incredible breakfast daily (many items grown and/or baked on property), gourmet dinner and wine pairings, relaxing spa amenities and pool and lots of places to walk or hike to enjoy the view. Interesting and innovative wine tour with delicious tastings. Staff were exceptionally lovely and helpful to ensure every moment was enjoyed. We had an unobstructed view of the vineyard and property from our balcony/front porch and enjoyed some Quinta do Vallado port tonics and wine each evening. An absolutely tranquil place and experience-we will be back."

"Enjoyable stay in Vila Real. The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a good location for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was fresh with a good selection each morning. The room was well maintained and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. A great base for visiting the Douro region and nearby attractions. Would happily stay again."

"Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The entire property was exceptionally clean, from the rooms to the common areas, and it was clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining everything to a very high standard. What truly stood out was the hospitality. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. We arrived late and the Resturant was already closing but they still allowed us to sit and happily served us what they still had available. If you’re looking for a hotel that combines cleanliness, comfort, and outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend staying here. We would gladly return again."
