This is a beautiful, quaint little property <20 minutes to downtown TC. The location is phenomenal! Just far enough from downtown where you can escape the chaos of it but still in walking distance from a gas station/convenience store and <10 minute drive to the nearest grocery store. The lake is quite small but with no motor boats, it was lovely for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The house comes equipped with two kayaks, a pedal boat, and a row boat, which were all fun to use.
The cottage itself is very cozy- the perfect size for when spending the majority of your stay exploring outdoors- and immaculately cleaned. Definitely the cleanest property I've ever stayed in as a rental. The cabin is very well stocked with linens- no need to bring bath towels, blankets, or pillows of your own at all. We also found a nice stock of board games and cards in the cabin which was a lovely surprise! The kitchen is very well stocked with almost everything you could need and there are charcoals and lighter fluid in the shed for the grill. There's also an abundance of firewood and a wonderful little place overlooking the lake to set up the fire pit. Even sunscreen and tick-repellent bug spray were provided in the cabin. The owners clearly pay attention to those little details that make a great stay and it showed.
We did have a small issue with the water heater on the last full day of our trip so we called Susan, who was downstate at the time for a family medical emergency, and still offered to get someone to come check it out right away. She answered our call right away and was very kind and wanted to help us out.
Overall, I would definitely stay at this property again.
