What a hidden gem!

Paradise

All is well.

Wonderful Stay!
This was the fourth time we stayed at the property. Every stay had been a wonderful time of rest and relaxation. We enjoy fishing on the lake. We look forward to coming back next year.

George Lake Cabin
Very enjoyable stay. Cabin was clean and well appointed. Only issue was that the dock was not installed, which made it difficult to get the boats in/out. Also, the decks hadn't been cleaned and were full of pollen and pine needles. We spent 1.5 hours cleaning off the decks, etc. so we could enjoy them. Otherwise a wonderful time.

Chris. So sorry about the dock and the decks. I should have looked into that. We were at Cleveland, OH before you arrived until the 10th. I could and should have asked my neighbor to check them. I did find someone last week to install the dock. He will be my regular guy from now on. Again not the way I wanted the cottage to be for you.

Sweet place to relax
The cottage is cute and perfect for a relaxing get-away. It’s nice to be on a lake without motors, you can really enjoy peaceful nature sounds. And it is so close to all that Travers City has to offer!

Beautiful, quiet & comfortable little lake house.
The house is quite new and beautifully decorated and furnished with just about everything one would need. There is a large deck overlooking Lake George, which we enjoyed every day & evening. About 50 stairs down to the little pier. There is a paddle boat which we used to go around the lake. Also kayaks. I only suggest that a ladder and/or post to grab on to when getting off the boat and up to the pier after swimming. We loved the cabin, for sure!

Great peaceful getaway spot
This was the perfect spot for my family of four - quiet and peaceful but close enough to the city and beaches. Everything is in great shape in the house and very clean. Nice little lake good for fishing, kayaking, paddle boating and swimming (ground is mucky but it's fine). Would definitely recommend for a couple or small family looking to get away.

Beautiful location, quiet, peaceful, very clean and cozy cottage
This cottage was just what the doctor ordered. My wife and I hadn't gone on a vacation in almost 3 years. This place was the break we needed. We enjoyed this very clean and cozy cottage for one week and wish we could of stayed longer. From the cottage you are approximately 35 miles from Sleeping Bear Dunes area, and 10 or so miles from Traverse City. We felt this put us smack dab in the middle of where we wanted to go explore and hike. The lake that the cottage sits on was added tranquility to or stay. We enjoyed meeting and talking with one of the owners, Dave, and their dog named Gage. Highly recommended!

Great area
The property was a great stay lovely lake amazingly clear water. Property was clean and inviting. The only down side was to me an my wife was the beds were on the harder side of the spectrum. The only recommendation I would have would be to replace the beds to make for the most perfect stay an relaxing disconnect from the world around you.other then that amazing place and great management.

Great Get Away!
Perfect place to get away and relax! Cottage was very clean and well supplied with everything one could need except of course for a few groceries. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed watching the four deer that seemed to hang around the cottage almost daily. We would certainly recommend the cottage to others and hope to stay there again in the future.

Family vacation
Stayed with my husband, sister in law and her husband. It was a beautiful week we played everyday on the lake, the place came with two kayaks and two boats. We caught lots of fish and the lake was perfect for swimming.

The cottage was clean and the location was mostly private. Traverse City is an easy 20 minute drive away and the trails near the cottage are beautiful. We had a wonderful stay.

A wonderful holiday.
Everything was just like they said. It's a wonderful place, cozy and comfortable. You do need to walk down a lot of steps to get to the water and swimming is a bit difficult as there is no beach. There is a public beach close by though. You also have to walk about 100' down a hill to get to the cottage from where you park. That's not so bad but going up can be a challenge if you have bad knees or something. The proprietors were very accommodating though letting us use their golf cart when needed. One minor criticism: they use way too much fabric softener and/or dryer sheets on their towels and such. Still I give them 5 stars on everything and would stay there again. It's quiet, beautiful and serene.

Beautiful and serene woodland lake cottage hideaway
This property was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I came up to MI for the Fourth of July to visit friends that lived up the road and it was so lovely and convenient. Mrs. Susan and her husband were extremely kind and hospitable. We just adored this precious, relaxing, and quiet tucked away cabin. Very tidy and well kept property overlooking a beautiful fishing lake. Thank you for such a lovely stay- We will be back!

Great stay
The property was fantastic! Super clean, well thought out, quite, and the detail was amazing! Owner’s were out of town and their son was there. He came over to water the flowers and I had done that daily. My wife just had major surgery and the hill was a chore for her and I told him that his dad had mentioned a golf cart that would help her get up but I had told him that we would be fine. Later I heard a knock on the door and their son brought us the cart knowing we had to load the next morning. We were so impressed with everything and the fishing was good on top of that! Thank you Sue and Dave for everything and we will be back! Mark & Kris

Owners take extra cleaning measures -- the property was immaculate. Location is great for staying in or heading over to Traverse City or hiking at the dunes (they're about an hour away, but it's a beautiful drive!). Susan & Dave were great hosts.

Lovely spot!
Clean, quiet, well equipped and comfortable. Set in a pretty wooded area with direct access to Lake George. Fall colors were gorgeous and nice walking trails nearby. Close to Traverse City but away from the hubbub. Perfect way for us to visit our son and daughter in law who live nearby.

Beautiful Lake Setting
The house was as pictured in the listing. Susan was easy to work with. We had an issue with the plumbing and she took care of it right away. The wifi was not usable during our stay. The location was perfect for exploring Traverse City or Sleeping Bear.

This was our first visit to the Traverse City area and our first stay with Vrbo. The view from the cottage is amazing, everything was clean and we liked the ease of access to the TC area. Will definitely consider coming back again in the future. The area is a must to visit during fall color season!

At one with the woods
We were so comfortable and at peace that it took us a while to get out and explore the area. This cottage, nestled in the woods, is ideal for one or two people seeking respite without wanting to rough it entirely. Supplies in the kitchen could stand to be slightly more complete. Otherwise, great!

Relaxation vacation!
The property was perfect for our getaway! Quiet and relaxing for a much needed break from the Covid 19 madness. The cabin was clean and we had all the amenities that you could need. The owner was very responsive when the bbq collapsed after the first night cooking on it. A new one was delivered the next evening! We would highly recommend this property! A little slice of heaven!

Highly recommend
We really enjoyed the peacefulness of Lake George and often had the lake all to ourselves! We're definitely sold on a non- motorized lake and spent a lot of time in the rowboat and paddle boat. Loved the shady deck for reading and meals. Great fishing! My daughter was excited to catch lots of fish. We loved being so immersed in quiet nature and yet only a 20 minute drive to other activities in Traverse city. The cottage was spotless, which this mom greatly appreciates at the start of a vacation!! Decor was updated and just right. Some cottages can be over cluttered. Steps are steep and long going down to the lake but well worth the privacy and if I can manage at 6 months pregnant, I think most people can! Only suggestion would be to get some patio chairs that match the height of the patio table. The current chairs were too low. Overall, highly recommend! Don't miss out on this gem.

Vacation Gem
This was our third year at this beautiful little lake house and we hope to come back many more times in the coming years. It overlooks a quiet lake and we spent many afternoons just enjoying the scenery from the deck. Hardwood floors, an updated bathroom and a beautiful view from the back bedroom make this home a treat for the eyes as well as a restful place for the soul. This might not be the place for you if you prefer the hustle and bustle of the city, but it was perfect for us, especially in this difficult year.

Wonderful cozy cottage weekend
This is a beautiful, quaint little property <20 minutes to downtown TC. The location is phenomenal! Just far enough from downtown where you can escape the chaos of it but still in walking distance from a gas station/convenience store and <10 minute drive to the nearest grocery store. The lake is quite small but with no motor boats, it was lovely for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The house comes equipped with two kayaks, a pedal boat, and a row boat, which were all fun to use. The cottage itself is very cozy- the perfect size for when spending the majority of your stay exploring outdoors- and immaculately cleaned. Definitely the cleanest property I've ever stayed in as a rental. The cabin is very well stocked with linens- no need to bring bath towels, blankets, or pillows of your own at all. We also found a nice stock of board games and cards in the cabin which was a lovely surprise! The kitchen is very well stocked with almost everything you could need and there are charcoals and lighter fluid in the shed for the grill. There's also an abundance of firewood and a wonderful little place overlooking the lake to set up the fire pit. Even sunscreen and tick-repellent bug spray were provided in the cabin. The owners clearly pay attention to those little details that make a great stay and it showed. We did have a small issue with the water heater on the last full day of our trip so we called Susan, who was downstate at the time for a family medical emergency, and still offered to get someone to come check it out right away. She answered our call right away and was very kind and wanted to help us out. Overall, I would definitely stay at this property again.

Beautiful Quiet Paradise
We absolutely enjoyed our time at this wonderful cabin! It's perfect for the couple who wants their own little retreat, but also has the space to have some friends over as well. The house is well maintained and has everything you need, and the private lake is incredible. Great fishing and we had some friends bring over paddle boards too. All in all the property has two kayaks, a paddleboat, and a fishing boat. It's a no-wake lake, so no motors, but you can easily oar your way around the whole lake without any problem. Truly a gem in Traverse City, and only about 15 minutes to town. Highly recommend this place, if relaxing in the woods on a private lake is your speed. Enjoy!

Perfect Small Getaway Cabin
This 2 bedroom cabin is tucked back in the woods, with a shaded view of Lake George. The place has a fresh look and decor. Small and quaint. Very clean! A quiet and relaxing get-away makes a good home base for exploring the Traverse City, Suttons Bay and Leelanau area.
