The room is clean, bed is comfy. TV has youtube which is good as no english tv channels are avaliable. Bathroom size is great with strong ventilation that keeps the bathroom dry fast and smelless. Staff is ok. However, amenities in the bathroom are inadequate. Only one hand wash and a all in one shampoo/air conditioner/ body wash. Free coffee and tea for all guests all day long is nice but it is a replacement of no coffee machine /tea in the room. The only purpose here was to view the aurora which was successful which made staying in this hotel was still great.

The property is located in a beautiful location with stunning views. The restaurant on site serves good food, it has a bar and a nice sauna. 24hr coffee, tea and water was a nice touch. The room was clean and kitchen well stocked with tools and equipment to make meals.

What a lovely area! The hotel is well placed to explore the beaches and hill nearby. We caught the bus 420 from Tromso which was scenic. All but one members of staff were great and really helpful and friendly (BUT when we arrived, the woman at reception was very unfriendly and rude). Excellent breakfast. Nice rooms.

An amazing hotel in a stunning location. We only stayed one night but this hotel goes above an beyond. It was the only place we stayed where access to the sauna was free, and I don't think there is a more beautiful spot in the world to sauna and then plunge in the arctic waters. The hotel also provides free tea and coffee for guest in the reception. The food was good, and the choice at breakfast was extensive. The room was clean and well equipped but was a standard conference centre type of room. That isn't an issue with exceptional communal areas though.

Perfectly located with a stunning setting around the lagoon and coast. The hotel is very spacious and well laid out with a great outdoor setting. The boat houses by the lagoon were amazing with incredible views, including the Aurora. The bar and restaurant were both very good with a great selection. When considering the price, location and amenities, this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommend.

Fabuleux chalet sur l’eau qui rappelle étonnamment les Maldives. Grâce à Sommaroy Artic hôtel, nous avons passé un séjour mémorable pendant lequel nous avons pu savourer les magnifiques vues changeantes sur le fjord et les aurores boréales depuis la fenêtre sans affronter le froid. Le chalet était parfaitement équipé et propre, avec sauna privé. Le fish and chips à la morue du restaurant, original, était ultra frais, léger et excellent. L’accueil est standard et correspond à celui qui est pratiqué dans les pays scandinaves. À recommander.

Rooms were good - clean and functional. The view from the room patio / balcony was absolutely stunning! The sauna and breakfast are great. The restaurant in the property makes some really good food! Would recommend having a car to go around - there are some incredible drives near the hotel.
