Best stay in Tahoe

If you are planning a Tahoe Trip with friends or family this is the ideal location for a large group. It is by far the best rental property I have ever rented in the Tahoe Truckee area. I strongly recommend. The amenities are unbelievable and the space is simply the best.

This house was perfect for our large group of small families. Every family had their own room with private bathroom, there were several common areas for hanging out, and the kitchen area seated the whole group. We'll most certainly be back.

Glad to have chosen this place

We were happy to have 8 bd rms with each having it's own bth. rm. Location was nice, the home was beautiful, with scenic views, not too far from anything. All in all, it was a nice, clean, and a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend it!

Family Gathering

The property was perfect for a large group. Plenty of space so never felt crowded. The views were awesome and love the movie theater. Kids watched lots of movies and did a slide show for celebration of life. We could not of picked a better home.

Awesome Family Trip Home

This cabin was very much enjoyed by my entire family ranging in age from 85 to 10. My Mom really appreciated the elevators. There was space for everyone to be together and then for people to get away for some quite time when they wanted. There is excellent Hiking and Mountain Biking right from the front door - no need to drive anywhere to get to a trailhead. If I ever have a group of this size again I would definitely return here.

Great House

We really enjoyed staying at the house! It was perfect for our large group. There were so many gathering areas and it was well stocked with everything we needed. There is only one hot tub now, but it was very clean and when there was a small issue with it, property management was quick to help me troubleshoot it and get it working again. The elevator was great for those in our group who couldn’t navigate the many stairs. We would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous place, cool house with amazing views

Our family reunion of 18 people had a fabulous experience! We loved that the house was so spread out. The sauna, steam room, hot tub and movie theatre were great and enjoyed by all. The kitchen and dining wete perfect for our large group. The views are spectacular and we loved being on top of the world. Thank you for the lovely experience and wonderful memories.

Wonderful

Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake and Truckee were as advertised. Absolutely an awesome vacation. This place was great no one was on top of each other. Had plenty of space for all of us. I never took so many pictures of sunrises. Each mornings sunrise was more beautiful than the day before.

Outstanding!

The house is amazing! We had 4 families together for the holiday and this house could not have been more perfect! Each family had their own floor, with multiple bedrooms with bathrooms in each bedroom. 2 of the bedrooms also had cribs. There were 2 dining tables with enough chairs, including 2 highchairs for the babies.The kitchen was huge, adequately stocked and the 2 dishwashers were very helpful. There were also multiple washers and dryers.We enjoyed the sauna, the steam shower, the spa, and the views are stunning! We VRBO quite a bit and I will say this house is "simply the best"!

Mountain House

The perfect house for our large family. Main deck spacious and view was amazing, especially star gazing at night. Only miss was that the deck furniture was sparse. Kitchen well stocked with pots/pans and utensils and two dish washers came in handy. Movie room entertained kids but it is a bit old and tired… Past reviews complained of no A/C but really how many houses up here have it?? It didn’t bother us at all and besides temps go down below 60 at night.

Huge inspiring cabin extended relatives Christmas

Same as last Christmas, including Christmas tree and decor. Spectacular view. Very large and comfortable. Made good use of sauna, steam rooms and hot tub. Remember to add a little chlorine each day. Comfy floor radiant heating. Fun gas fireplaces. Movie room also used for gaming we brought. Elevators and cart great for moving in and out. Four cars inside garages. If skiing Northstar or “Palisades “ recommend head out before 7:30 and head back around 3pm to avoid insane traffic delays that occur later.

Fantastic getaway for a large family

We rented the Lodge for a week during TG. The house is beautiful and pictures don’t do it justice. I wish I could post some of mine! The only bedroom that needs a better disclaimer is #9, in the Eagle’s nest because it has no windows. We were able to place my nephew on the bunk bed in the Eagle’s nest living room, but it was not ideal. The house has great furnishings which felt comfortable, high-end and were well kept. We cooked several meals for a full household and the kitchen was truly well stocked. Elle, the manager, and her team were amazing and super responsive. They even sent Ben to take care of the decks which were covered in snow the day before TG!!! We truly appreciated that! we would be happy to come back again!

A slice of heaven

This was the perfect pace for our large family holiday. Huge very comfortable mansion with beautiful views. Nearby skiing. Hot tub sunrise and sunset views. Sauna. Steam room. Foosball. Theater room. Park 4 cars in garages. Elevators and cart for unloading and loading (take care with cart not to block the interior elevator doors). Fantastic kitchen. Fun hardware/sporting store in town near Safeway, and two cute thrift stores. Says more about my family than this awesome mansion.

Wonderful property for a long weekend with friends

The property as a whole is wonderful. Accommodates large groups without compromising on space. The place has an elevator running between floors. Hot tub, sauna, and steam room were all lovely and appreciated by my party. Only negatives I think would be fairly minor and hopefully easily addressed: - Main fridge has its gasket failing so we had to triple check that it actually closed each time. - Ice machine by the bar wasn't working. - Chillers and coolers around the house were off which meant it took a day for them to actually get "cold" - Hot tub was off on day 1 and took about 12 hours to come up to temp which meant it wasn't available until day 2 - Sonos system didn't seem to work on floors 2 and 3 (or we just couldn't figure it out) - Theater room would benefit from slightly elevated steps between seat rows - Foosball table is in need of replacement (it's on its last legs) That's a lot of individual one liners but again, for our purposes none of those really detracted too much from the experience. As a space to socialize, cook large meals, and just chill for a weekend it was still largely top tier.

Perfect location for our small family reunion

Our group included 7 kids (aged 17 - 6). They loved exploring every nook and cranny of this massive home and ending the evenings making s’mores in the fire pit and then watching movies together in the theater. The adults particularly enjoyed the steam room, playing cards on the large decks, and enjoying meals together in the large kitchen/dining area. Having multiple dishwashers, washing machines and dryers came in handy for our party of 16. One family member in our party is confined to a wheelchair which is why we selected this home for our stay. It is the only place we found in the Tahoe/ Truckee area for a group of our size that was advertised as being accessible. The elevators worked well allowing him to access each floor and to participate in all the festivities. The doorways were wide and accommodated his wheelchair while the shower attached to the bedroom had zero entry and accessible features. The only thing lacking for us to give this home a 5 star rating for accessibility was there are no grab rails, particularly, in the bathrooms attached to the “accessible” bedrooms. Otherwise, we had no complaints and we would love to stay again.

Family weekend getaway

My family and I decided to book a vacation home with VRBO to spend time with the family. Also, my cousin from GA was in town so it was nice to have our family gathering here with the amazing amenities. All of the adults and kiddos had plenty of space to hang out. The kids love the theater room while the adults hang out in the jacuzzi. The only down fall is that there’s no screen doors or screen windows throughout the house, which made it difficult to have them opened as this house does not have AC. Also, two of the rooms had misquotes and dead insects on the beds when we were ready for bedtime on day one. There’s a broken jacuzzi on the deck which is kind of odd. The kitchen chairs are wobbly, which is a bit dangerous. We moved the chairs to one side so it doesn’t break when someone is sitting on it. Also, it appears that the house next door is another VRBO rental, they were super loud during quiet time and made it difficult for the people who slept on the lower level of the house. Overall, we had a good time with the family. I would recommend this rental property but hope the owner put some new furnishing as most of them are well used.

Excellent extended family time!!

We had an extended family gathering for our mom’s 90th bday. Her 4 sons and their families. 20 adults total, aged 19-90. Two grandchildren are married. One was pregnant. The ADA accessible rooms helped immensely for one grandmother and one pregnant woman. We wanted private rooms for each couple. Perfect. Lots of extra bathrooms around the home also. We used the Conference Room for interactive all-family games. Had a blast. Our property manager, Elle, was very friendly and responsive. The homeowner, Pete, returned my evening call when I had questions about the newly upgraded lighting system. Nice guy. Great back stories about the home, including how he built ADA-accessible rooms to accommodate disabled military veterans. The place was amazing! I just made a list of things that would make it even more amazing: Dish drying rack Salt Can opener Big salad bowl Smaller plates Some dining chairs have slightly wobbly legs Screen on sliding doors (keep bugs out) Screen on door next to kitchen Runner for showers to keep water in the shower Conference room HDMI projector wasn’t very bright or clear. Couldn’t figure out how to use the remote so we set the projector settings directly on the mounted unit.

Perfect house and location for our summer trip! The house was perfect for 8 couples and had plenty of spaces to hangout. We were able to access hiking and biking trails from the front door and saw deer, bears, and all the birds! Really fun stay!

Tahoe Donner Reunion

This house was great for our large family group. The social spaces are large and varied, the dining area, with two tables, was great, the kitchen was big enough to produce meals for a crowd and high chairs, cribs and additional cots were provided. No place is perfect and this place was no exception but the issues didn't have a material impact on our stay.
