Clean and spacious room. 10-15 min walking distance from ubud central. Breakfast was nice and could be delivered to room. The most amazing thing about the hotel was the staff. They were all super friendly and helpful. The only thing that can be improved is that the hair dryer is a bit weak.

We really enjoyed our time at Batu Empug Cottages, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We loved how close it was to lots of great restaurants and main streets. The pool was great as was the breakfast.

Ich habe mich von Beginn an sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem netten überschaubaren Hotel. Alle Mitarbeiter*innen sind ausgesprochen freundlich, nett und hilfsbereit. Es war alles sehr familiär. Ich wäre gerne noch länger geblieben. Für mich ist das Batu Empug bisher das netteste Hotel auf meiner selbständigen Bali-Rundreise. Gerade als Alleinreisende ist es für mich wichtig, mich gut aufgehoben uns sicher zu fühlen.das war hier rundum der Fall. Ich empfehle auch die Massage gegenüber bei Nata.

We had a very pleasant stay here! The room was clean and quiet. The pool and gardens area was beautiful. The staff were so kind and accomodating and let us have our room early. The bathroon exhaust wasn't the strongest however, and we did see one cockroach in the bathroom. So that area could have been a bit cleaner!

Batu Empug Cottages is a small hotel but neat and clean with fabulous and helpful staff. It is conveniently located in quiet laneway not far from the markets and dining places. Yoga studios are a 5 minute walk away. The pool is clean with towels provided. A small cafe on site makes wonderful local dishes and serves drinks and snacks pool side. I will most definitely stay here again.

The hotel was so beautiful, serene and cozy. It’s centrally located in Ubud and there are so many good food options that are within a walkable distance. Even though it’s located in a busy area, the street it’s on is quiet and this gives a relaxed feel to the hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff were very hospitable. We loved our stay at Batu Empug cottages. Highly recommended!!

The property is a real gem. Located on a quiet side street near the city center and everything that you may need in Ubud: restaurants (including vegan), bars, sites, shops, boutiques, spas, yoga studios (10min walk to Yoga Barn), etc. The hotel is quiet, very clean, well-maintained, with pool and beautiful garden. Staff is wonderful and always ready to help.

Mycket trevlig personal! Vi blev uppgraderade vilket alltid uppskattas. Mysigt hotell som ligger på en sidogata vilket gör att det inte är mycket oväsen. Vår säng va stor (kingsize). AC och varmvatten. Finns billiga boenden i Ubud men man får vad man betalar för. Vi fick välja mellan olika uppsättningar av frukost som va mycket bra.

Oasis in the Middle of Ubud
Loved our spacious room, our deck and the pool. It’s an quiet oasis in the middle of Ubud. The bathroom did not match the the room. Should have had a brown or warmer colored floor instead of black. The fluorescent lighting made the room even more stark instead of warm. All the fluorescent lights were too bright. Breakfast was delightful. Rika at the front desk is a gem!

It has great, friendly staff with good English and the rooms have good facilities - room serviced every day - and was quiet from traffic noise. A good variety was provided for breakfast. Great to have a fridge and balcony. There is not much garden space but the grounds have been nicely landscaped. Our balcony view was over the adjacent rooftops and garden temples structures but still nice and very Balinese in feel. The kettle took ages to boil but it did eventually.
