「My stay was perfect. The staff and the food was tremendous. Benjamin the Chef outdoes himself every meal. You feel like your in a 5 star restaurant. The food is beautifully prepared and presented and it tastes good too! I have stayed at Ishasha Jungle lodge a sister lodge so expected it would be a nice spot to spend a few nights but it was even better than Ishahsha was. They gracefully served my Ugandan friend and her 3 children for lunch and didn't seem to mind the 3 kids zooming...

「My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived....

「We had meetings in nearby Lugazi and originally planned to stay in the town. However, when the option of staying in the nearby rainforest came up, I decided the cool of the forest and its quietness were a far better option.」

「I am really, really tired of hotels claiming that they have ‘free wifi’ (I stay in hotels >300 nights per year). This hotel had only intermittent electricity (so no power to the small fan in the room at night). In 48 hour stay perhaps 2 hours of connectivity. I encourage Hotels.com to add a third category “wifi MAY be available”」
