"Nice room but as a couple withone child, I found it odd we were at first given a small dounvle room abd a squashed in single bed, which was for too small. We asked to be moved to a larger room, which we were and found that the double bed was two singles pushed together."

"Locke de Santa Joana is a quirky, unique, and very enjoyable place to stay. Built in a beautifully converted monastery, the property still retains many of its original architectural features, which gives it a lot of character and makes it feel very different from a typical hotel. Our room was comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and had an excellent bed—we slept very well. We also loved how completely dark the room became at night. The layout of Building D was a little confusing at first, particularly with the negative floor numbers and the top floor being labeled “0,” which is very unfamiliar to Americans, but once we figured it out, it was fine. The food on the property was excellent. We enjoyed both the breakfast and the small outdoor café. The staff was friendly and helpful, although we did handle our own luggage. The location was also very convenient for the sightseeing we wanted to do around Lisbon. This is not a traditional luxury hotel, but it doesn’t try to be. It is stylish, comfortable, distinctive, and an excellent property for what it is. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return."

"The hotel is in a good location, close to a subway station and to useful stores. The staff is helpful and kind. The breakfast was wonderful with several selections. The facility was clean well cared for. Very nice stay!"

"The room is very well equipped and well located. Several pastelarias and cafes, even a local restaurant and late night kebab place are within walking distance. Easy to pick up Ubers/Bolt and there is a nearby train station by walking. The shower, bed size and iron were all good. The cleanliness of the room could have been a little better- I think the floors did not seem mopped nor the bathroom surfaces in the room itself. I bought my own cleaning spray to do a quick spritz of surfaces. However overall I would stay again because the location and price is good. Check in and check out was very simple and easy. There are also lockers to hold your suitcases at a small cost if you need to check out and your flight is later on"
