“No one at front desk but she finally showed up and said I was interrupting her dinner. Room door blew open in the night snd was extremely hard to get to stay shut and locked. Did not seem to fit the door jam. Coffe maker did not work and no coffee available anywhere on the property in the morning. Not a pleasant experience. Light in shower was out as well”

“the restaurant closed at 8 o'clock, and the food wasn't all that great or what they charged. The wallpaper on the walls with half complete when we entered the room.. the shower floor or bathtub was slippery.”

“The location of this place is excellent. Loved the coffee shop attached to it. It is a beautiful historic place, clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that although it does have an elevator to the upper floor, you have to navigate up or down 4 or 5 steps to get to your room. For elderly people with luggage it can be a challenge.”

“The bed was so uncomfortable, the headboard was dusty, floor needed mopping, they call it a sweet it was so dark in there with black walls and no windows you can see out of. We felt like it was a dungeon! We left a day earlier than expected, home is much better. Will never stay there again..”

“Highly recommend! We were in a second floor room with a beautiful view of the River. While out around town, my wife fell and broke her ankle. I called from the emergency room in Taos and explained that I didn't think there was any way she could navigate the steps and it was our last night there. The young lady on duty informed me that they didn't have any ground level rooms available, but she called the owner and they moved us to a ground level suite at a sister hotel in town, no charge! Now……

“We had an amazing stay at Desert Flower Hotel! We stayed in Room 7, which included a private hot tub that was perfect for soaking in and relaxing after our adventurous days exploring Taos. One of the highlights of our stay was the homemade breakfast each morning. Everything was delicious, especially the homemade blueberry muffins. It was such a treat to wake up and enjoy a freshly prepared meal before heading out to explore for the day. Jody and Xochitl were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and……
