Place was beautiful front desk lady the day we checked in was great. Food in restaurant was good. We had NO warm water for showers in the morning and the lady basically said sorry nothing we could do about it.

My family and I loved the Royal Valentia Hotel. The staff could not have been nicer and were so helpful during our stay. The hotel has been lovingly restored and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. The pub/restaurant attached to the hotel was one of our favorites on our trip. It had such a positive feel and to us was the quintessential of all good things Irish. Our stay at the Royal Valentia was absolutely perfect!

Great friendly Hotel !!!

Had a fantastic time at the Royal Valencia Hotel. Got upgraded to the four poster bedroom for two days because of a plumbing problem in our room. Gorgeous view at the front across the bay. Breakfast was good, maybe keep an eye on items running out. Dinner was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. Got to land on Skellig Michael which was our intended trip, brilliant.

Despite the fact that they advertise all rooms as being air-conditioned, we found out that this is not the case. The first room we were put in was not air-conditioned and when we went down and asked if another room was available, we were treated very rudely by the woman at the desk. She told us that an air conditioned room is a special request and we did not ask for that. After hauling all of our bags back down the staircase (there are no elevators), we were sent to another room where we had to haul all of our bags back up another staircase. At no time did any staff member offer to help with our baggage or apologize for the misunderstanding that they created. When it came time to check out they tried to bill me a second time for the room that had already been paid for on Expedia as well as the previous night's dinner that had been paid for at the table. We would not stay in this hotel again.

Came in a little late, but the staff was very kind and quite responsive to our needs. Even carried our bags up to our room and offered to see if the kitchen would stay open a little later to feed us! Room was lovely.

There was absolutely nothing about this property we did not like. It was our favorite of 12 different hotels we used during our travels. Beautifully decorated. Fantastic staff. Clean and quiet. And the food was the best we ate.
