Carrazeda de Ansiaes

"The hotel is rather small (a very good thing for me!), but the room I had was large and the bathroom too. It was modern and very clean, with A/C. It was called Mallus and had a French door to the street which meant I had to have the blind down all the time for privacy, really the only drawback to it all. The breakfast is very good, fresh, and the manager very kind and dedicated. I highly recommend!"

Top Valpacos Hotel Reviews

Five Sabrosa Senses

10/10 Excellent

"Service impeccable. Très propre et que dire de la vue! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la sélection de vins à la réception ainsi que le service de livraison de nourriture. Je recommande fortement pour un séjour paisible dans le Douro."

Vinhais Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The room was extremely clean and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was awesome and delicious. There’s plenty of parking. I just want to add that this hotel has an old time vibe. This is one of those hotels that inspires time travel into the past in a good way. The room has this quaint kind of antique furniture that makes it look like an hotel in the 1960s and 70s. There’s a real key to the room, a receptionist, and a record player and vinyl records in the lobby as well as other vintage items such as a travel bag from the 1960s. There are cute little compartments for each room just like old times! They also have a selection of books to read or to look at pictures. It was really a fenomenal experience!"

Casa Guardião

8/10 Good

"This apartment could not be better placed for a visit to the charming town of Chaves. The accommodation is very classy and the kitchen is fully equipped. The only criticism is that it is big enough to be really comfortable for 2 people but the final touch of decent lounge furniture really de values the experience. There is no way you can sit and relax on the 1 settee provided. There is ton to create a lovely lounge area, but this has not been done."

Forte de São Francisco Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Wonderful stay with one minor critique! We had a fantastic time during our stay here. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the service was top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was excellent. Everything from the check-in process to the overall comfort of the room exceeded our expectations. The only area that could use an improvement is the bathroom, which felt a bit dated. However, everything was perfectly clean and fully functional, so it didn't take away from our experience. 9/10- We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!!"
