Host and accommodations were amazing!! The views and location was perfect and we feel better than any hotel in the area. We truly had a great time at this property and enjoyed the views without having to drive to another location on the lake. It was clean, updated, and a special place.

What an amazing property! Spotless and comfy with the most amazing view. It’s the first time for me that a property actually matched the pictures in the listing. You definitely need a car to get into Varenna as walking in the road is not a good idea. Varenna is such a lovely town with some great food. Parking at the property was easy and there is a pay garage right when you enter into the town of Varenna which we used each day. I will recommend this property to all of my friends and family. I would definitely come back and stay here again if we are in the area.

Fabulous stay at an incredible home! Marco and Daniela have a beautiful home that they take great care in maintaining. The home has gorgeous views of the lake. The sunroom and garden are perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing and the house is decorated beautifully with super comfortable beds. Varenna is only a short 5 minute drive away. Highly recommend, you will love it!!

The apartment was beyond our expectations & although it rained heavily for a couple of days, this was the place to stay inside, due to the changeable views. Very serene & tranquil with a magnificent panorama of Bellagio & Menaggio. Loved it immensely, including the gift basket. Marco’s son, Giacomo was very helpful.

This is a wonderful apartment, the perfect base for exploring Lake Como, within 10 minutes of Varenna and the regular ferry services. The two bedrooms are spacious with separate bathrooms, and the living spaces are very generous. The entire apartment is clean, well furnished and has everything you’ll need. Parking is off-road and secure in a garage. Marco is a wonderful host, good communication and very generous.The biggest memory is the view, massive panoramic windows give you a perfect view of the lake which is just breathtaking. Cannot recommend this apartment enough.

As pictured! Nice, quiet location (beside street noise from cars and bikes zooming past). Car is a must for getting around and getting supplies like food, laundry detergent and dishwashing tabs- if you want to use those amenities. A single starter pod is provided for each. The locking and secure car garage was under the apartment on the street level which was great. The hosts greeted us to show us around and was very kind to offer area restaurant locations and recommendations as well as the best grocery store for supplies with good parking.

Beautiful large apartment overlooking Lake Como, with a garden patio and private beach - lovely vistas from every room. Our host Marco was very helpful. The walk from Fumelatte to Varenna was best along the “Greenway.” We highly recommend this peaceful place!

Marco and Daniela have the most breathtaking lake view rental! Our family of four stayed for 4 nights, and we were in awe of the beautiful views of Lake Como. Perfectly situated outside of Varenna, it was quiet and peaceful while still being easily able to get around the lake for activities. The hosts met us for check-in with a bottle of prosecco and some light snacks, and gave some recommendations on where to eat, as well as where the closest supermarket was. Since the view from the garden and dining room were so incredible, we ate dinner there most nights. There was enough room for our family of four to spread out, and the air conditioning was a definite bonus as there was a heat wave while we were there. My husband and I enjoyed wine in the garden overlooking the lake every night. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this rental was, I would give it 10 stars if I could. My husband and I are already trying to plan a time we could make it there again. Thank you Marco and Daniela, truly one of the best VRBO stays we have ever had!

Our family of five enjoyed our short time in this beautiful rental. The location is great, the views are fantastic, and the apartment amenities are wonderful. The hosts were very responsive and helpful, and have obviously put a lot of thought and work into the place. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay on Lake Como.

The apartment is just as described and pictured. The views of the lake are beautiful, especially at sunset. The unit was clean and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable. We had 4 adults and one 8 yr old. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. Marco was a great host and offered recommendations for eating and sightseeing. We could not have been more satisfied with the unit. We would recommend without hesitation.

Absolutely Incredible

My wife, myself, and our two kids stayed here (2.5yrs old and the other 11mo.). We absolutely enjoyed our time here! It is perfect for families because of the yard, plenty of space, and safe and easy access to swimming. Marco and his family were incredibly kind and friendly throughout the whole process. They even helped us arrange a babysitter so my wife and I could have a date night. Being able to find and stay in a places like this is why I love VRBO and similar sites. The only drawback of this house is that it’s a 30-40min walk from Varenna (a walk on an Italian street where much of it does not have sidewalks). We had a car and were able to find parking in Varenna’s parking garage on the south side of town (even in the busy time of July, but we made sure to arrive early before 9am). Overall I highly recommend this place.

Lake Como Getaway – Unforgettable Experience!

We honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we arrived our host Marco and his wife were exceptionally welcoming. The property offered breathtaking views of Lake Como from almost every room. It was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and felt like a true home away from home. The outdoor garden / balcony provided a space for relaxation and enjoying the serene surroundings. All communication was prompt and helpful throughout our stay and the parking for our car was perfect.Overall, this was the best experience during our trip to Italy. We would highly recommended this apartment for anyone looking for a magical and unforgettable stay in Lake Como!"

Paradise Stay

The apartment was amazing! AC worked well and the host Marco was wonderful. Plenty of room for 3 of us and the patio was great to lounge on and look at the beautiful lake and mountains. It is on a busy road so you can’t walk to town. Taxis are really expensive ( I don’t recommend using Donicar, he charged us 30 to go to town 2 km away), rent a car if you can there is a parking garage in Varenna.The little beach was the highlight of our stay. We went swimming every day and the water was so clean and refreshing!Thanks Marco for a lovely stay!

It was the perfect stay, after driving around Switzerland for several weeks, this apartment offered everything that you just dont get staying in town (Varenna), with onsite parking in a large garage, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, full kitchen and sunroom. The terrace was my favorite feature. With views straight across the lake to Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna. We stayed 4 nights and loved our time here.

Don’t Miss

This was one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in. The view itself is worth every dollar. During our stay, we had a car and were able to explore the nearby towns. I would definitely recommend doing so, because multiple people were seen dragging their luggage throughout town while trying to get to their stays. You don’t want to be on the narrow roadside with your bags. Marco was the most hospitable host that we have encountered yet. This stay was for our wedding, and not only did he communicate with our wedding planner to help with the florist, make up artist, photographer and chef, but on the wedding day itself, he and his wife stopped by to drop of flowers. Overall, he helped make our wedding day all that we could have ever asked for and more. I 1000% recommend this place and hopefully will be returning soon

Short but sweet!

Our flight got delayed so we only made it for 1 of our 3 nights, but we made the most of it. Beautiful villa. Only complaint is little privacy. Owners live upstairs and are always right out and about. But they could not be kinder.

Top Notch!

This was the perfect property for my sisters and me to enjoy a week in the Lake Como area. It was roomy and well-appointed and very clean. The outdoor space and the view were magical. Though the owners were living upstairs, it felt like we had this house all to ourselves. When home we spent a lot of time in the sunroom that is all windows on two sides. Ate breakfast there each morning and played Scrabble. The kitchen has everything one would need and we made dinner on two nights rather than going out.We rented a car rather than taking the train to Varenna from Milan and were glad we did. It allowed us to go to the grocery store in Mondello and get food and wine for the week. It also was convenient for traveling to Varenna and other towns. Parking in some places is challenging, but we always seemed to luck out. The property has a garage for a car, so that was convenient. Small car is best.Note - the property is in the hamlet of Fiumelatte within Varenna. The center of Varenna (with ferries and restaurants) is about 3km down the road. We liked being a little outside the busy part of town. We walked the Greenway trail one day into town, but mostly drove the car. We don't know how easy or hard it is to get a taxi.Marco and Daniela were great and greeted us upon arrival with champagne. They provided maps and information that really helped get us started on our adventure.
