My nieces and I were very pleased with the property and location. Valerio and his father, as well as a friend met us at the train station and carried our bags to the place and were very kind and welcoming. The beds were clean and comfortable and the location was quiet and convenient to the boardwalk. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Location

Valerio and his family are terrific and fun hosts--very helpful. Excellent location near train station. Easy walk to ferries and town center. Apartment is clean and well equipped. Having two bathrooms was a real plus. Highly recommend!

Lots of space. The location was super convenient, right next to the train station. They actually came to pick us up and walk us to the apartment. The host doesn't speak English, but he brought a translator to help. They were both very pleasant. They even tried to help us make reservations for dinner. They also have a book of recommended locations/restaurants. The host was quick to respond to inquiries through email/VRBO. The kitchen is fully equipped. They even provided milk if we wanted to make our own coffee, which was also provided. They had some welcome snacks, but we didn't touch them. The only small negative thing was we thought we booked the entire apartment, but when we arrived he told us he only prepared the downstairs bedroom. He ended up charging us 20 Euros to set up the upstairs bedroom. It's not a big deal, but that wasn't communicated to us in advance. The listing was for the entire apartment. However, I'd still highly recommend this place and would book it again next time I come back to Lake Como.

Wonderful stay

This property is simply perfect! Very close to train station, ferry, restaurants, and convenient store/food directly accros the street. The host picked us up at train station which wasn't really needed but very much appreciated! Everything in apartment was clean and we had a lovely stay. Varenna is a beautiful town but don't miss Belaggio and Menaggio!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Varenna., starting with the wonderful hospitality. It was so nice for Valerio and family to meet us at the train station. The apartment is a short walk from the train station and the ferry. It is also a short walk to the village but far enough away to be quiet and calm. The apartment was perfect for us - a married couple traveling with college-age son. Very clean and tidy. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect for families

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Valerio's communication and attention was excellent from booking through check-in, including meeting us at the train station with a car to help us bring our bags to the property. Valerio also referred us to an excellent babysitter who helped us during our stay in Varenna. The apartment is spacious with two levels (each bedroom with/near a bathroom), which made it ideal for our young son. Valerio also had a Pack 'n Play crib made up for him in advance. The location is a short walk from the waterfront, boat/ferry, playground, and many cafes/restaurants. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Casa Valerio!

Spacious and convenient.

Varenna is a beautiful town. This apartment was spacious for our family of two adults and two children. The hosts were kind enough to greet us at the train station; just a few minutes walk from the apartment. The dock for the ferry is also very close by.
