I loved that it was in the heart of everything. Very walkable to restaurants, shopping and water taxi or Vaporetta. Rooms however were small, and ours on 2nd floor did not have a shower. No elevator. Noisy on the weekend due to windows open in hallways.

Clean room, a little dated tho. To cool down, just open the window for that cool morning air. It's at the end of waterbus line, but its just next door to Piazza di San Marcos and plenty of shops n restaurants.

Loved it. We would definitely stay again. Staff was nice and helpful. We had a room with a terrace and it was delightful. Shower was great. Not a big room, but cozy and enjoyable (and I wouldn't call it small. I'd say typical big city or European hotel room size.) Critique: I could have used a drawer or a couple hooks on the wall to hang things, but that's fine. I'd prefer 11am check out, mais ca va. In general it's clean, cute, romantic. Great location too. It was my first time in Venice, my partner's second. The hotel is centrally located for exploring the city easily by foot. The room was quiet too, which was nice yet it was easy to get to the city hubbub.

Ca dei Dogi, is located right behind the Doge's Palace. There is no elevator and we stayed at the 3rd floor. Not a big deal if you travel light. One big advance with the location is, it’s 3 minutes walk from the San Marco water bus/shuttle stop. The water bus was 32 euro round trip per person from airport to Venice city center. It’s a quaint, venetien style building. It’s located between small alleys but opens up to a cute yard. The AC is not strong, they do replenish coffe q-cups but the machine is in the lobby. We stayed at the top unit and have access to the rooftop terrace.

Location Location Location

Close to Bridge of Sighs & San Marco Square, this hotel is more for couples and solo travellers who will spend a lot of time exploring Venice and only need a bed and shower to come back to. Was great facilities, clean but not spacious.
