This is a great option for nice hotel close to St Mark's square. It's right on canal and we were able to get water taxi service to hotel from train station and to the airport for departure. Service was great! The room was a little warm and no AC since its Oct so they brought me a fan and that worked out great! Only negative is the bed was too hard for me, but that's just my personal preference.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was nice and comfortable with good amenities, breakfast was also good, it was nice and central with short walking distances to st marks square and in the other direction the venice accademia gallery, so much to do and see that 5 nights barely seemed enough

Beautiful hotel, wonderful experience!

The hotel was beautiful. The breakfast was amazing and we loved eating on the dock overlooking the canal. What stood out the most though was the incredible service we received from every staff member we encountered.

The hotel is older and the furniture reminded me of my childhood bedroom set. I could open my window and basically look the gondolier in the eyes, which was kinda cool. At night though boats came and went pretty late and people were yelling and singing so it was a little loud. Once I got to sleep though it quieted down and I slept well. The bed was REALLY HARD. The location was in the middle of everything, restaurants and shopping everywhere, 5-10 minutes walk to everything. Breakfast was plentiful and you got as many made-to-order coffees as you could drink, which was nice. The breakfast room was quite small, but it did make for good conversation with other diners. The staff was top notch and helped with your every need and spoke very good English. There's a 24 hour desk, and that make it nice too. They arranged a pick up from right next to the train station by boat to the dock of the hotel so we didn't have to drag our bags across the cobbled streets and over bridges hoping we were going the right direction (google maps looses reception between buildings sometimes). They also arranged a boat to take us to the airport at 4 AM and both rides were timely...not cheap but VERY convenient. It was a very nice stay. The people were great and communicated well throughout the trip, thank you!

My husband and I loved Hotel Becher. It had the feel of Venice we were looking for. The hotel was located near all of the beautiful attractions in St Mark Square without the noise and crowds. The balcony was a great bonus for us to be able to watch the gondolas go by.

Really good staff, excellent location, comfortable

I stayed for 9 nights and had a great time. It was really convenient, just a 3 minute walk to Piazza San Marco, yet it was still quite quiet. The free breakfast was very good. Staff were terrific. Wifi was fast. Will go back again.
