Luxury canal-side apartment in heart of Dorsoduro - Fully Inclusive Rates

Ca' Leonessa is a recently (2010) restored luxury apartment located in the heart of Venice. It is a short walk from the bus and railway stations. Due to its superb location all the sites of Venice are either within walking distance or a couple of stops on the vaporetto. In the furnishing of the apartment the prime consideration has been to create a comfortable and welcoming oasis for you after a busy days sight seeing in magical Venice.

The living room (which overlooks the canal and the Campo San Barnaba) features two Natuzzi sofa's (one double sofa bed) a Linn sound system and HD television with DVD/CD player.

Both bedrooms are bright and airy with comfortable beds and have plenty of hanging/storage space in the bespoke wardrobes. Bedroom 1 has a luxurious double bed with fine linens and traditional Venetian fabrics. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Both bathrooms are fully tiled with power showers.

The kitchen has been hand built and features dining for 6.

Walking distance to bars, restaurants, and points of interests.We arrived later than expected and the host did a great job communicating how to proceed with checking in after 6pm. We loved our stay in Venice! Very nice apartment!

The apartment was nice and in a great location. Many locals lived in this part of town. The bar across the canal was a meeting point for many locals and tourists and always entertaining. Close by are fantastic places for gelato, bread, espresso, and food. The apartment was clean with a great shower. All in all it was a nice experience.

Lovely apartment, just by a canal and the “Fighting Bridge”in a close but quiet neighborhood. Good bars and restaurants are close and the apartment managers were helpful with tips and recommendations. Gondola stop just across the bridge.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming property in Venice. The neighborhood was absolutely beautiful—picturesque streets, a welcoming atmosphere, and easy access to everything we needed. There are restaurants and a grocery store very close by. The host was truly exceptional, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring our stay was as smooth as possible.The home itself was lovely, though we did notice a bit of dust in the corners and around the beds. It was a minor detail that didn’t take away from the overall experience, but a little extra attention to dusting would make it even better. That said, the warmth of the host and the fantastic location made our trip truly memorable. We would certainly consider staying here again!

Staying in the Dosoduro area was absolutely amazing! It was quieter, cafés all around, a quaint little bar right across the canal, laundry service down the street, restaurants, Piazza’s everything you could want, but away from the crowds, hustle and bustle. The property was perfect!!!! The host was amazing and so helpful before and during our stay. They met us on site and walked us through everything which was awesome!!!! They also arranged the private taxis to and from the property which was truly so very helpful!!! We will ABSOLUTE stay again at this VRBO and hope you will too. If I had any suggestion it would be to have blow dryers available in both bathrooms since we were lodging with another couple, but sharing was also just fine. You will end up walking everywhere and just getting lost in Venice. It was really nice to return each evening to the quieter area & evenings in Dorsoduro!!!

This property was perfect for us. Easy to get to by water bus, just a short walk from the stop. Away from the crowds but easy to access all the shops. 2 couple staying each with own bathroom perfect. Restaurants just over a bridge and the local supermarket around the corner for breakfast foods, and a little bar a stones throw away. Would highly recommend.

We loved staying at this location. Plenty of nearby restaurants and fun places to visit. The only negative is the noise across the canal from a popular nightspot. We realize it is out of the owners control. Overall, we loved the quaintness of the home with all the modern amenities.

This property is within meters of bars, bakery, restaurants, a small supermarket, a fruit barge and is within easy walk of both the Academia and Rialto bridges. Location of apartment ideal for visiting the main tourist attractions and good mix of locals and tourists around.. Apartment equipped with everything required and of high quality. Outlook over the canal was really interesting and included the famous fruit and veg barge. Wonderful baker within yards and a useful supermarket really close plus an abundance of cafes nearby. We enjoyed our visit very much. A lovely property with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living space, nice bathroom and wonderful location. Our host representative was responsive and extremely helpful. Dorsoduro is quiet, full of great restaurants, a convenient grocery store, pharmacy, etc. Close to the vaporetto with easy access to airport and train station via water taxi. Two special amenities? Window screens and Sonos system! Just great!

We were 3 friends visiting Venice. The apartment was very cosy and very well equipped with all we needed for our stay. Near to supermarket, bakery and restaurants. Sehr schöne Wohnung, liebevoll ausgestattet, in gefühlt fast touristenfreiem Gebiet, zahlreiche Lokale in der Nähe, auch ein Supermarkt oder andere Lebensmittelläden. Nur ein paar Schritte zum Vaporetto Ca Rezzonico, 15 min zu Fuß zur Rialtobrücke, 15 min zum Bahnhof. Das einzige Manko, was vielleicht an einer längeren vorhergehenden Nichtnutzung lag, war der etwas unangenehme Geruch in den Bädern aus den Abflussrohren. Trotzdem gerne wieder!

Bathrooms smelled like stagnant water. Some black mold near the grout on the main shower and ceiling. That smell continued all 3 days we were there, the biggest drawback. Two college dorm refrigerators one had a small freezer that was frozen shut. It needs to be defrosted, because it’s not usable. Beds were comfortable, bedrooms were nice. Due to the humidity and only a washing machine, it took 36 hours to dry a small load of laundry. The apartment is located across from a wine bar so if you are a light sleeper you won’t get to sleep until after midnight.

4 Adults stayed in this apartment in a charming section of Venice. Just steps to the Leonardo Museum and the famous bridge of fists. This is a perfect location to be Immersed in a local neighborhood. We felt safe always. We walked the narrow walkways late into the night and before the sun came up. We all missed being in Venice when it came out time to leave. Hoping we can come back and stay in this wonderful apartment again one day.
