The code-door lock was difficult to use and not very intuitive. Upon arrival, the dishwasher was full of clean dishes that we had to unload and put away ourselves.The home is very bare-bones in terms of supplies. Although the listing states it accommodates up to 10 guests, there were not even enough bath towels for our group of seven. Kitchen supplies and cookware were very limited. While the cabin is cute and tidy, it could really benefit from a thorough deep clean. Given the 250 cleaning fee, the condition was unacceptable. There was hair left in the bathroom from previous guests, and socks are a must—feet will turn black quickly. We understand the wooded setting, but there were a significant number of bugs throughout the house, both dead and alive. Guests hoping for additional wildlife sightings should look under the kitchen sink where mouse droppings and a trap were present.Most online reviews are very positive, but inside the cabin is a guest book encouraging feedback. After reading over a year’s worth of entries, it was clear the same issues are repeatedly mentioned: bugs, poor cleanliness, lack of blankets and the need for more mirrors in bedrooms, insufficient kitchen supplies, and a master bathroom sink that doesn’t drain properly. All of these issues were still present during our stay, suggesting the feedback has not been addressed.This property could be really great with more attention to detail, but based on our experience, we would not stay here again.
