Great house
Let me first say that the house was adorable, clean and had comfy beds. The deck has 2 locking gates for kids or privacy and was spacious. I worked outside on my laptop 2 days and enjoyed the lake and gentle breeze. It was nice to have real toilet paper and full size toiletries (I brought my own but it was a nice touch).
Now….. I was alone while my kids were at church camp nearby and was a bit nervous the first nights and at times. The drive is several miles down a few diff gravel roads to reach the home and I was greeted with nothing short of 10 private property signs surrounding the property. I know this is no fault of the property owners but the neighbors doing. Having said that, I had a bit of an uneasy feeling the first day or so. I really didn’t feel comfortable being anywhere other than inside or on the porch.
Within 45 min is a great cave (Bridal Cave) to explore and good hiking at HaHa Tonka state park.
10 min or so from the nearest anything- Dollar General and a gas station and 17 min from a restaurant.
Having said all of this, it’s a charming little house that needs to not have the surrounding neighbors or be picked up and put on another spot on the lake.
