「Everything was good until morning time the housekeeping was knocking on my door at 9:00 a.m. trying to tell us this time to leave and we didn't have to leave until 11:00 I felt rushed we will not be back」

Had dinner the night before at Walnut Hills, a true southern comfort experience. The property has historic details that are incredible. Some aging deterioration, but with 115 years of existence, I would too! The pool was a pleasant relief, and the room was spacious with a modern shower/bathroom. 「Bed was a little stiff for my wife but I slept well. Pillows were great and the shower was nice. Ate on the back porch. Breakfast was nice and full of butter. Bacon was yummy. For an old house the doors were a bit hard to lock. Hated to have to slam the door to get it to lock. Stayed in the Grant room where General Grant slept.」

「This motel is set off the side of a busy highway. You hear cars all night. There is no grass to walk pets on. Room smelled strongly of weed even though the room was “smoke free”. Parking lot was well lit. Was very quiet people wise after dark. As long as the sound of traffic doesn’t bother you it’s not a bad cheap place to stay. Bed was comfortable too. I would stay here again. Although I would recommend getting there early and cutting on the AC on as early as possible. The room was very hot...

「The evening staff was good. Parking was easy. There were a lot of places to eat walkable around the hotel. The only draw back the door to the shower and toilet need to be shaved down to close properly. Breakfast was so-so, just a waffle maker, cereal, and pastry. We didn't eat there. 」
