A slice of heaven

Perfect location for our Purina Farms week of competition. Days were long and we didn’t spend much time at the house but it was a relief to have welcoming accommodations when we arrived each evening.

The three houses are close together but far enough apart to be semi private. We were the only ones at the houses so it was quiet. The house is quaint and homey. It was clean and nicely decorated, it could use some replacement of blinds in the living room and kitchen. It is a little rough in places but overall a new ce place to stay. The bed was comfy and the pillows were soft yet fluffy. I was impressed with the ability to get hot water in the shower so fast! Two TVs were nice to have. It was a fun place to stay.

I ordinarily reserve 5 stars for luxury over-the-top accommodations but Fox Haus gets the score for being great at what it does. This was a dog show trip. The location was close and easy to Purina Farms. Dog friendly home. Big shady yard to walk or pen the creature. Front porch rockin chairs. Washington MO close by had restaurants and everything else we needed. The communication and responsiveness of the owners WAS over-the-top!

Such a cute house. We loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs to have our coffee in the crisp fall mornings. Kitchen was fully equiped. Love the open floor plan. This is our second stay at one of their properties and we will be booking for our family visit next year aa well.

Country setting close to purina farms

A nice private setting still close to Purina Farms. The house was perfect for me and my dogs I was traveling with. My only advice is to bring some food with you cause there’s not much that is close by.

The house was everything we wanted. Small but open where everyone can be together but not on top of each other. The decor was beautiful and we loved the little dog themed fox hause accents. Very cute, very well equiped, had everything we needed. Quiet peaceful setting.

Sad Time - Great Place

We received word that my Dad was unresponsive and not expected to be with us much longer. We found the Fox Haus and was immediately accepted and confirmed...my brother stayed in a 2 star hotel. WHAT a difference between our experiences during this difficult time! The Fox Haus was exactly what we needed to unwind and regroup and with the space provided we were able to accomplish everything we need and store effects until it was time for the 13 hours drive home. If we ever come back to Missouri we will definitely try and reconnect and stay here.

Perfect Overnight Stays

My wife and I stayed at Fox Haus overnight on two occasions on a road trip to the Southwest. It was an ideal setup for us. The house is located 5 minutes off I-44, but in a quiet neighborhood. The property easily accommodated two dogs, with plenty of running room outside. The interior of the house appeared virtually new, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything needed, from towels, paper products, soap/shampoo, and even toothpaste. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and serving. (If you're not in the mood to cook, I can highly recommend delivery from the Cherry Blossom Restaurant in nearby Washington--Excellent Japanese cuisine.) The hosts of Fox Haus were excellent communicators and readily available by phone to deal with questions. If you're staying for a few days or just traveling through, this place is highly recommended, particularly if you're bringing a furry friend or two.
