Good place to stay
It met my expectations. My only concerns were the internet - it was hesitant/buffering quite a bit. I also noticed there were no knives for slicing fruit/veggies or meat -only table/butter knives. But overall my stay was pleasant with a great view of the ocean and super convenient to restaurants and shops. The check in/out process was easy and the staff was able to answer/assist with any questions I had. I am definitely considering staying here in the future.

Bait and switch
This is a scam! Paid for a room at ocean key resort, after refund policy expired the host changed us to the Marjack. This is a bait and switch scam! We ended up staying elsewhere and was refunded our initial payment. We had to book the new place days before a holiday weekend and had to settle for what was left at a much higher price than originally booked.

Scam
Rating is for the place we were actually going to stay not the place listed for this booking. The place that we rented was not the actual place we were to stay. When we arrived at the property listed, we had no reservation and the owner did not own at the establishment. We called the owner and he said "Oh I forgot to tell you it's a different address". He was sending us to the Sundial, not the same calibur or location as the orginial listing on Vrbo.

Some trouble checking in.
When we first arrived at the hotel, traffic was heavy, and we missed the entrance. Not a big deal, but just know the entry is tricky. The front desk is literally desks, not a counter like most hotels. The clerk found my information quickly and told me the room #....and then told me there was a large hotel charge. Huh?? I told her that wasn't possible as I had rented through VRBO and had already paid. She told me she had received my reservation through B***ing.com. I told her that I never, dealt with that agency and there must be a mistake. She could see that I was upset, and I will say that she was friendly and did say that she would not take any credit card info from me until I spoke with the hotel manager. We checked in on Sunday and the manager didn't come in until Wednesday, the day before checkout. Talk about stressful. I did contact VRBO, who started a case number ref the situation and was able to reach the host the next day. I must say that both the reps for VRBO and the host, Mr. Wallace were very kind and reassured me that everything would be taken care of. Still, having a large bill pending for a room that had already been paid for cast a shadow over our vacation. As for the accommodations, great loc but disappointed there was no balcony. The game room consisted of 3 old machines and a pinball...not much fun for my grandson. Room was clean, but the one indoor pool and hot tub were often crowded. I hope the host can iron out confusion with hotel staff.
