Very nice!

Three level home (you have to love stairs) close to all beach amenities but in a quiet private neighborhood. Short walk to a quiet beach. Home is very well equipped, clean, plenty of towels, comfy beds. Restaurants and boardwalk nearby just over the little bridge. Easy check in and out. We enjoyed our stay.

House needs work

The house is in a great neighborhood. It’s quiet for families looking to get away to the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk but very close to activities and good restaurants. It’s in walking distance of surf lessons as well as the beach. The house needs a lot of attention and Vacassa needs corporate communication training. The AC broke on Tuesday of our 1 week stay and it wasn’t fixed until Saturday. The house temperature reached 85-90 on extensive heat advisory days. Communication was poor and a reasonable accommodation was not followed thru with aka a portable AC unit. Other areas of house that need attention There was a bad wall leak during a rain event, the first floor shower drain doesn’t work, the first floor fire alarm kept beeping, the amenities need reviewed and the old or broken items need purged, the 3rd floor toilet bowl handle fell out, the dishwasher rack wheel fell off, the carpet and blinds had nasty stains, sink pipes leak and there are nasty bowls of stained, brown, buggy water under sinks, a screen door kept getting stuck and you couldn’t get out, the electrician said the entire electrical panel needs replaced and the owner only wants to keep replacing blown breakers which is dangerous because the real problem isn’t being solved. If management improves their support services to include execution of reasonable accommodations, and the house is fixed, reviewed thoroughly and money is put into it to correct it, I would consider renting again.

The kitchen had all we needed. The view from the living area floor was very nice. This was a great size house for my family of 6. We walked over to the beach in about 3 minutes and there was a small ocean view from the house. We were pleased with our stay and really liked some of the many food options close by.

House was huge!!!! Not for people that can’t do stairs as the kitchen is on top, which we all loved, but if you are traveling with anyone with mobility issues (I’m a nurse….this is how I think, lol), look elsewhere. We loved our stay!

Although it has a great floorplan and beach access the home needs some improvements. Too many garbage cans blocking access to outdoor shower. Landscaper showed up unannounced. We scrambled to move 4 cars. Trees growing into driveway. Broken chairs on the rooftop deck. Many of the outlets the plug falls out of. AC filter appeared to be dirty. Shower door on first floor is broken. Broken washing machine left in front foyer made a sewage smell until I called and they moved to garage. Had a great time with my family though.

How to write a review on a house that wasn’t prepared for vacationers.

Getting the call before the day of arrival started off the concerns, but looked forward to the adventure, until the arrival at the ‘replacement’ house. Finding out that accommodations were not prepared for you and your guests in the house, not selected by you, gives reason for much concern. Settling on many attempts to contact management for services, which should have been prepared prior to the arrival of vacationers, our experience was less than par. Rented in Va beach, moved by management to Sandbridge (20mins away from the desired location). Being welcomed to a dirty house is the best way to spoil a vacation, and the list of items that need to be addressed is below. Should have stayed home if I knew 4 days of cleaning to prepare for a family gatheringswould be required when booking a rental house. I should have saved the money and hosted at my clean and prepared home, instead of working on vacation for a rental house that I paid to rent. Ridiculous! List of noted issues in house: Bottle caps on front steps leading to the front door. Empty Beer cans on the back deck Bird poop on balconies, decks and patios railings. Unvacuumed floors Dirty living room rug Dirty walls in living room - heavily stained Dirty windows in the living room Blinds dirty Stairway walls dirty Dirty Dishes in the cabinets and draws Dirty pans Dirty refrigerator (needed to be wiped down) Propane tank was empty for grilling Porch lights didn’t work Stained furniture in bedrooms Bedbug spray
