Disappointing!! Stayed in same resort last year and previous penthouse unit was spotless. This unit was very unkept. Carpets were dirty, and stained; previous tenant’s stinky wet towels found in master closet; caked toothpaste in the medicine cabinet from prior tenants); porch furniture covered in splattered bird poop and spider webs (never wiped off); living room sliding door screens filthy and covered with dead bugs...needed to scrub so we could see out! Living room wall had dead bugs smashed into wall, so obviously not wiped down. In addition to the poor upkeep, storage unit keys did not work and no resolution or follow up from realty about this. Unable to store all beach equipment for the entire week-very inconvenient. Paying the price for a penthouse unit, we expected more. I called the realty company upon finding the mentioned shortcomings and was offered a “cleaning” after we had already performed it and there was no need for it. I asked for the owners information to inform them of the issues, as well as safety issues concerning the high tub/shower with no safety grab bars and had someone fall. We were also disappointed that the main attraction/amenity to the condominium, the pool bar, was closed due to HOA. Then this should have been mentioned as it remains advertised on the website. I am normally not one to complain, but this fell short of all expectations. In addition, there was a kitchen cabinet with handle falling off, and quarter round at sliding door that was loose and a tripping hazard. I had hope we would have been offered something to offset our issues, but nothing. As a back-back year returning customer, I feel you lacked in customer service.
