My family and I loved our stay at the Sandlot. We really enjoyed the house and its amenities. Great proximity to the beach, great pool/backyard, great space in the house, all of it nice. Thanks for having us and giving us a place for a wonderful family vacation.

Fun family vacation in Sandbridge!

This is our 4th year coming down to Sandbridge. This house was well suited for our needs. We were not clear that the bedrooms were in different floors until we arrived (perhaps I did not read the description well enough). The pool was a wonderful size but there were no floats which we did not know before we arrived. It would have been good to have some provided or at least have it mentioned in the listing. The beach was very close and easy to get to. We had a blast!

Wonderful

Everything you need in one place!! Large pool with mini hoop, putt putt, volleyball hoop. Nice set up in the rooms. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, regular utensils, coffee pot, crock pot, air fryer, washer and dryer. 3-4 minute walk to the beach. Queen/king bed only had 2 pillows so if you like to sleep with more pillows - bring some. Lots of spiders and large webs on the deck (we got a can of bug spray and sprayed the doors windows which seemed to help). Customer service was great. Our garbage disposal started pouring water out of the bottom half way through the week. Called in to maintenance around 10:30 pm. Next morning around 9:00 am the maintenance man was there to check it out and had a plumber out to us by 1:00 pm to fix the issue. Our large family enjoyed this house so much. We barely left the house other than to go to the beach because we had everything we needed. Lots of fun and laughs had in the back yard/pool area. Would definitely recommend especially if you are bringing kids!!

The house is awesome. It’s so close to the beach and the pool is incredible. The only problem was the outside maintenance. There were big spiders and cobwebs everywhere. Weeds growing through the front steps. With proper cleaning I’d give it a 5 star review but we really wouldn’t sit outside because of the outside cleanliness. The inside was spotless. We called and asked someone to come spray and they did

Great Vacation

The property was wonderful it was jus a couple lil issues but they were addressed immediately by property managers. Couple lil dirty dishes left but other than that it was awesome. Will def book again in the future !!!

Positives: The pool was nice, the floor plan was wonderful, fuss ball table was great. Negatives: owner needs to spend some money on pots and pans. They were horrible, there was only one fry pan that was useable and it was 6 inches. We had to purchase one from Walmart. VACASA: Horrible arrival information, we went to the VACASA building and my keys were not there. If we had not be rentals from Sandbridge Realty in the past, it would have been the worst arrival ever.

Disappointing!

I've never had to write a review like this but felt I had to be honest for others. If we had known we would encounter these problems we would have left immediately! Many unsafe issues, wooden steps, pool door wouldn't latch, grill didn't work & filthy, dead bugs & crumbs in cupboards, hole in wall, broken bed with stuffing coming out, squashed bugs on kitchen ceiling & on window sills, cobwebs inside and outside, even had a spider in a bed! The Sandlot needs a deep cleaning & refurbishing. We were disappointed and frustrated!! Not how we planned to spend a family vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Sandlot. It's a great space for families. The bottom level bunk room provided a dark, cool cave for our teenagers in the mornings, and their own bathroom and game room on the same level was welcome. We appreciated the kitchen and eating areas and living room area on the main floor. It was also nice to have a bathroom on that floor (which connects to common space and bedroom), though the people who sleep in that main floor bedroom had to rise when activity started in the kitchen because it got noisy. Kitchen was well stocked. We brought our own knives and pots in response to a previous review, but we didn't need them. Knives were fine and pots were plentiful. The top floor has two beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, though the one thing to note is that the master bathroom has intense air conditioning, while the other top-floor bedroom is on the warm side. They are both controlled by the same thermostat. Everyone reported that their mattresses were comfortable. Outside, the front porch is lovely and shaded in the morning, and the porch off the kitchen with a big table is great in the late afternoon/evenings. The outdoor shower is a nice addition and the pool is wonderful, private and kept up well. Walking to the beach is easy; you do have to walk about 20 yards on a fairly busy road, but after that it's a quick walk to the gorgeous beach. We also loved how close this is to the National Wildlife Refuge, where we spent time almost every day.

ON THE FENCE

I am still trying todetermine what I liked about the home to help me overcome what I did not! Beach access was tops! With small kids the walk to the beach was the best feature of this home! Hmm. Can't think of another thing...That being said, if you are between this house and another, try the other. Very disappointed with the small stuff. Does not have to be out-of HGTV, however please clean a bit. Cob webs with insects everywhere including the kitchen. We used the gas grill that does not appear to have ever been cleaned, the fat from years of drippings caught fire!. Weeds around the pool. Door from great room to patio had weather stripping missing with a huge opening at the bottom of the door. When it rained, the water blew in. I've seen better pots and pans at the goodwill. I am sorry but I will not be rebooting the Sandlot.

Lovely stay but pool wasn't available on my dates

I really enjoyed my stay, Everything was good just was disappointed about the pool not being open after I was told that it would be. I was a little skeptical a out the property at first but It was actually great I slept very comfortably, they have Everything we needed, the kitchen was fully loaded, My kids enjoyed it and it was a very short walk to the beach. So, I guest you want to know would I recommend this property??? I 100% recommend it!! Once I got settled in I really wanted to call to see if I could extend my stay for two more days but I wasn't sure if I could. I will definitely be booking again very soon.
