Liked: 1) The owner met us upon arrival and indicated where to park; 2) The “jungle-like” setting; 3) The quiet setting; 4) The cottage-like unit, especially the tree trunk columns; and 5) The papaya and fig bar “continental breakfast.” Not liked: 1) The lack of clear signage and way-finding; and 2) The mustiness of the unit.

Nice clean room in a unique rainforest like setting. Hosts were lovely and provided coffee, tea, hot chocolate, ramen, oatmeal, fresh fruit and a delicious homemade banana bread! The location was very peaceful and we enjoyed listening to nature at night. We were also very close to Volcano National Park!

The place was easy to find with the directions provided by the property. We loved being so close to the park and getting to explore the volcano areas during our short visit. Oatmeal, fresh fruit and coffee provided made a great breakfast and the fresh baked banana bread was an added bonus! I would highly recommend the Aloha Crater Lodge to anyone wanting to be close to the volcanos national park.

It is 3 miles from Volcanoes National park entrance. Unit was very nice and quiet, the fruit and oatmeal and coffee that was provided meant we didn't need to go out for breakfast! This unit, Orchid room, had a fancy fish pond in one section of the room, and a nice walkin tiled shower.
