「Everyone at the lodge was pleasant and helpful. We had a great hike, a pleasant dinner and breakfast, and saw so many manatees. There were renovations in progress and it was very cold out but that didn’t bother us at all. The very nice staff more than make up for little inconveniences. 」

「Our family had a great time. There was plenty of space for everyone to be alone when they needed it, but absolutely plenty of space to come together. Kitchen was fully stocked with all of the pots/pans/utensils needed. The house is right on the water with convenient access. The front yard was perfect for our dog. The beach amenities were great. Contact with the host was quick and easy. We loved it and would love to come back. 」

From the setting in the woods on a clear river, to the cabin with every need already in place, to very gracious hosts, it is a destination that we will want to come back to again and again. Full amenities in the kitchen allowed us to eat in, in the evenings and breakfast in the mornings. Charmingly decorated as a country cabin should be. This rustic cabin in the woods is clean, comfortable and above all else PEACEFUL. The host is responsive and accommodating and the 20-acre property seems completely isolated but is close enough to town to make everything convenient.
