Hotel staff was great, very friendly. This hotel has an odd layout: there is the tower area where the cafes and restaurants are and it’s a very welcoming environment. But the wing with the suites just seems so closed off. There’s random pieces of furniture scattered, no artwork, nothing that feels welcoming like the tower side. After we got home I noticed that we were charged a $25 per day amenities fee, yet the only amenity they had was a very small gym.

From check-in to check- out this stay was awesome. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Our room (west wing) was comfortable and clean. The bathroom appears to be due for an upgrade (while clean the tile and fixtures are dated and appear unclean but it’s just age). We so appreciated the welcome glass of wine and $15 credit each for the restaurant/bar. We ate in the dining room and the food was delicious and service 5 star. The entire hotel decor is lovely - comfortable and beautiful . Parking was easy peasy and the location of the hotel in relation to downtown tasting rooms and shopping the best!

room was comfy as always. Remember it is a historic hotel and the tower is the way to go imo. We love it and this was no exception. Check in is always top notch and the staff is second to none - really. The only one I'd put even is the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, which is really a next level place - but they have nothing on the staff at the Marcus. It's always convenient and close to everything in town. Great for a walk to dinner and a cocktail after a day of wineries. Walk to the Salted Mill for dinner, which is also next level. The pork chop is lifechanging.

The Marcus Whitman Hotel is a Must See in Walla Walla! It has old world charm with modern amenities. The location is perfect!-downtown surrounded by restaurants and tasting rooms. If I could put this hotel in my pocket I would take it on every vacation from now on!!

Lovely stay at the Marcus Whitman Hotel for a valentine’s weekend getaway to Walla Walla. The weather was rainy and cold and we were ahead of schedule on our arrival day. We were very grateful for the staff’s kindness in allowing for an early check-in. The front desk team demonstrated exceptional guest service and we felt very welcomed for our weekend stay. They pointed out the many areas of the hotel for dining, wine tasting, and lounging. The lobby is beautiful with well designed seating areas to accommodate individuals, couples, or groups. We dined on site in The Marc restaurant’s bar area (open seating) for afternoon drinks and light bites. The food options were excellent and I appreciated the variety of nonalcoholic drinks available.
Our room was in the older annex but still felt connected to the main hotel. The room was spacious with nice amenities (robes, pour over coffee, hot shower water with great pressure, and good lighting options) which made the room feel comfortable. Noise was minimal.
Parking was free and widely available on both sides of the annex. Larger extended vehicles could have trouble parking in the lot closest to the main hotel entry so the additional parking may be a better option in that case.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again in the future. We didn’t explore the town as much due to the weather so it was great to have so many local options available within the hotel.

The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was completely stocked, abd gad sufficient convenient outlets to charge our phones. (which is surpringly uncommon).
The breakfast in the restaurant wad expensive, as expected in an upscale hotel, but very poor quality. My wife had avacado toast, which she couldn't finish. I had scrambled eggs and very dry sausage. You get better at Denny's for 1/3 the price.

We had a wonderful stay at the Marcus Whitman Hotel. Great refurbished old hotel with so much class. Friendly staff, nice rooms, and very central location!

Spacious and clean rooms and within walking distance to several restaurants and tasting rooms. Be aware of the $25 nightly amenity charge to avoid surprises.

Don't appreciate hidden fees. $25 per day "amenity fee." Lots of little annoyances. Sign pointing towards ice machine that isn't there-ice only on even floors now. Carpets recently shampooed but still wet, soaking through socks. Pretty loud country music in all the lobbies AND the restaurant.

The room was beautifully appointed, spotless and comfortable. The hotel lobby is old-school awesome, everything in pristine yet inviting order. The hotel bar is very nice as well. The persons working the front desk are always helpful, professional and friendly.
