Sea View Coastal Lodge | Pool, Tennis & Family Fun | Walk to Beach | Near Deal

"What a fantastic stay we had at Poppy Lodge! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The lodge was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and it was clear that so much thought and care had gone into every little detail. The décor is charming, cosy and perfectly suits the character of the lodge, making it feel like a real home from home. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the location couldn’t be better. It’s perfectly situated for exploring the local area, with so many great attractions nearby. There is so much to see and do nearby. Our top recommendation would definitely be Dover Castle, which we visited with our four children, aged 9 to 14. Every one of them loved it, and it made for a brilliant family day out. We also had a fantastic day at Howletts Wildlife Park, which is well worth a visit. One thing that made this holiday even more special for us was that the park is dog-free. As someone with a severe phobia of dogs, finding somewhere we can truly relax is incredibly difficult. Being able to enjoy such a beautiful park without that worry meant we could completely switch off and make the most of our holiday. The hosts were wonderful throughout—friendly, approachable and always happy to help. No question was too much trouble, and they really made us feel looked after. We made some wonderful family memories at Poppy Lodge and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway."

"Our family will have been holidaying in Kingsdown for 100 years in 2033 and I think we all must've stayed in every house that is for rent in North and South Road! Rum Bosen is lovely, close to the beach with a practical back garden (table/long washing line). The front garden could be cut back a lot to have more space and light - the front gardens in North Road are little havens. Otherwise it's all as expected from a two up/two down in North Road!"

"What a lovely place to stay. The house is well laid out, beautifully styled and very comfortable. The garden behind the house was so nice to be in for evening meals and there is a little table in the front garden to catch the sun for a first cup of tea in the morning. The owners are very generous in sharing their beautiful items, furniture, and grocery basics with guests. I felt very welcome and immediately at home. My family and I would love to return."

"Absolutely loved Oldestairs House. The bedrooms are great. The reception rooms are generous and comfortable. There's a wonderful, relaxed ambiance to the house which adds to the holiday vibe. There are some fabulous walks from the door. The weather was terrible, but the house has enough room to accommodate the great British vacation. Ubers in the area are also really easy to get so we could walk to St Margaret's Bay and taxi back when the rain came in. The games room could do with a little love, and we missed the football table (which appears in the photos, but was not in the house). I would also be tempted to put a more comfortable set of chairs in the small, strip sunroom. I can't speak highly enough of the service from Keepers Cottages. Lovely holiday, great house, good location would recommend."

A wonderful luxurious large family home sleeping 12 by the coast

"Bowden Lodge was the perfect property for our family get together of four generations. Having a downstairs bedroom with en suite and easy access to the living room and games room which in turn had easy access to the wonderful garden was ideal for our 96 year old great Nan The enormous garden was enjoyed by everyone for ball games, sitting and chatting and barbecuing in the evening. We had fantastic weather which was a bonus. Short walk to the beach and local pubs meant driving could be kept to a minimum. Highly recommend and would love to return when the pool is in use."

"Fabulous accommodation, well equipped with lovely rooms. Superb location with breathtaking and atmospheric views of the sea - whatever the weather! Conveniently located next to the Zetland Arms. Attending a family wedding at nearby Ripple Court, so less opportunity to avail ourselves of all the nearby amenities. Highly recommended and sad to leave."
