“Wow. This was an amazing experience. The woman who greeted and took care of us (Emma?) was the most wonderful host and the hardest working person I have ever met. The room was fantastic with a great view and the experience in general was magical. The only downside was that the published open times for the tavern were not correct and the links in their welcome books seemed broken. Everything else, fantastic. A great find in a historic space. Worth every penny. ”

“A bit off the beaten path but served it's purpose. First time booking premier inn on Expedia and had issues with a cancellation that Premier Inn was not wanting to correct. I have used Premier Inn a lot personally and for my business, but due to this frustration with their handling of a the cancellation request, I will be rethinking booking with them in the future.”

“Lovely warm welcome on arrival and departure. Spotless room and guest house in a quiet location. Good choice at breakfast with friendly service. Parking permit appreciated and parking available on the road and even found a space directly outside. Thanks also for the room upgrade.”

“This Lodge is a family run business. They are all pleasant and accommodating, especially John who remembers your name and knows what drink to serve you after a long day. The place is clean and warm. I’ve stayed in much larger hotels and must admit Victoria Lodge takes precedence over some of these overpriced hotels. ”

“Warm welcome at reception. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean as was the bathroom. As it was Christmas, they left a box of Quality Street in the room for us. Nice touch. Buffet breakfast was good. Value for money.”

“Comfy bed, staff were very helpful, good location. There is club on bottom floor, something to watch out for. It wasnt a big deal for me as i had ear plugs.”
