"The first room they gave me still had someone's belongings in there. I assume they gave me someone else's room. They quickly resolved this issue, and the second room was clearly not fully ready to stay in. There were boxes of screws, and the boxes for the alarm system still in the room. The kitchen didn't seem to be fully equiped, and there was no sponge, soap, dishwasher tabs or drying towel. The bedding felt cheap and cold. The cables hanging directly above the bed for the bed lights made it...

"The apt itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly as expected. We had a great visit. I did have some ??s when checking in. I didnt expect to have to haul luggage up multiple flights of stairs. No elevator is available and posting didnt note the floor level. The apt numbers are not in order as you climb the stairs which was a minor point of confusion as we climbed. After the visit, the host wanted to charge our early fee via venmo. He quickly accomodated in the VRBO when asked (didnt want to...

"Booking the accomodation was good getting access to the property with the key in the keybox was easy. Therefore: in general we were satisfied. Unfortunately we also found an uninvited guest in the dishwasher (cockroach). How do you prevent soethig like that? Probably not that easy, because the property is not constantly occupied. However, in general the property was clean and well provided with towels. One last remark: the first time I entered one of the showers, I found the floor rather...

Leonardo Hotel Esslingen

10/10 Excellent

"This was a real treat to tell, with parking underneath and staff were very helpful. It should be noted that lunch is not available"

Holiday Inn - the niu, Timber Esslingen by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed here for a week. The room was very comfortable, but I missed not having any sort of table to eat at or sit and do work. In reality, the size of the room does limit that possibility. But still … However, the lobby was a nice place to sit and get work done. The breakfast had several good options. The kitchen did not have a few of the menu items available for lunch or dinner, so I enjoyed the pizza and Flammekuchen a couple of times during my stay."

GINN Apartment-Hotel Stuttgart Esslingen

8/10 Good

"Really convenient location about 5 minutes from Esslingen train station, with 2 supermarkets right around the corner. Nice to have cooking facilities, albeit small. Comfortable bed, strong shower, but sometimes a bad smell coming from the drain. Doors close very loudly, so maybe bring earplugs. The door to the common hallway slams loudly, so request a room at the far end of the corridor. Note: you need a smartphone for this place, as you receive your door code by email at 3 pm to check in, and if you don’t have a wifi signal it can be tricky. I logged on to the public wifi in the shopping mall across the street. You also check out with your phone."
