My hotel of choice when travelling through the Portsmouth area. Well furnished, relaxed feel. Nice bar food. Free safe and plentiful parking. Great breakfast . Friendly and helpful staff. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
The rooms are comfortable with everything you need and staff had sorted our adjoining rooms as I'd requested on expedia. Rooms were clean with good facilities - all you need. Evening food in the pub was lovely, but the full English breakfast was fantastic! To top it off - lovely staff and will definitely stay again.
This is a fantastic hotel in a great location, all the staff were so friendly and the food in the restaurant was great… really nicely decorated and great showers
Lovely room, spacious, clean, plenty of storage and beautifully decorated.
Staffs were lovely and welcoming, breakfast was lovely. Probably the best hashbrowns that I will ever have. We had dinner but the menus was very limited. Hot water was also an issue and but we were compensated for the inconvenience.
All in all this is a real steel.
The Staff at the Hotel were extremly helpful.
I am disabled and needed extra assistance from time to time. This was provided without any delay. 10 out of 10.
The boiler was broken so no showers. A refund was given without having to ask.
Clean room, very comfortable beds, quiet surroundings (a part from a nightingale singing outside the room at night). Excellent food. A place to back to.
First stay since the refurb. Rooms are excellent, staff brilliant. Pub is lovely and great atmosphere.
But, food quality is inconsistent.
Dinner friday night, pie of the day, meant to be steak and ale, but was pepper and some other stuff we couldn't taste.
Saturday breakfast was mixed, good bacon, sausage, hash brown. Bad black pudding, dry and poor.
Saturday snacks were great, burger was really good.
Sunday breakfast, oh dear, definitely B team, toast wasn't cooked, most things cold apart from hash browns. Croissants were a mess.
A shame really that inconsistent quality food let's the overall experience down. Hope they get on top of kitchen issues before we return
