“The property was easy to find and parking was available. Breakfast was sufficient but no staff available to clean tables when we were there. The rooms were basic and clean. We were supposed to have adjoining rooms and we did, but the door inside did not open. It was late so we did not bother to ask for help with the door. Overall, good for an overnight stay but would not stay for more than a day.”

“Staff at Front Desk was not friendly nor helpful. The room smelled so bad of both cigarette and tobacco smoke, and the sheet of fabric softener in the air unit did nothing. Shower curtain ring was barely hanging on the wall.”

“For $640 The room was disguising ask to switch they wouldn’t so I had to pay for another hotel somewhere else”

“What a beautiful and relaxing spot. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Quiet and bucolic-yet close to town. ”

“Staff was excellent and friendly. Room spacious. Location excellent for cultural events like Heifetz Institute and Shakespeare festival.”

“Nice room, clean, great amenities, decent breakfast. Had a few issues, no working fan in the bathroom (found out the hard way lol), and tub faucet had a fast leak that we reported, but no one came to fix. Keeping the door closed made it very humid in there. Was offered another room but decided to stay since we got in so late and wouldn’t be using the room much. Friendly staff, would stay there again.”

“It’s new and clean. Everyone is kind and nice. It’s close to the south gate of Shenandoah national park and the north gate of blue ridge road. ”

“My room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was particularly nice with plenty of room. I appreciate a shower with good water pressure, and my bathroom had that. Love the view from the cupola and walk surrounding it.”

“We stayed in July 2026 in the Baldwin room and can provide very positive feedback. This self service hotel is very well run. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable. The location is in the quiet city centre near the university. When parking in the back of the hotel guests need to park close to the fence/wall to leave space for the other cars to maneuver. We were never able to reach the hotel team on the phone but they are very efficient inn communicating via email/text. Please be aware……

“In the past we've stayed at another hotel in Staunton and I chose to give this a try. It had a pool which we didn't wind up using due to our late arrival and early departure.One of the queen beds mattress cover/sheet was stained. (Hopefully it wasn't fresh) So I opted not to sleep in that bed and shared the other bed. I let the staff know @ checkout. Breakfast was marginal. I'll not stay here again and return to the other hotel we used in the past in Staunton.”

“Everything was nice. Breakfast was good except the juices didn't have any flavor. Our room was nice and smelled good! The tub was clogged. There was hair in the tub and on the floor but not enough for me not to return.”
