Nicely equipped, well stocked, clean and neat. Good location with a canoe and kayaks to get out on the cove. Close drive to the three towns in the area with a number of good lunch/dinner spots. Host was very helpful.

Great vacation for Family of 4

We had a wonderful time in the house. The kitchen was fully prepped with everything we needed. The house was clean and on a pretty piece of property. Everything worked and the beds were comfotable. There lots of fun boats and toys, buy it was too chilly for us to use it.

For My Family

I live quite close to this property. We rented here because of allergies with one of my family. We had a tree & enjoyed a festive time. The kitchen was fully requiped with everything we needed to prepare dinner. It was very roomy & the bed was very comfortable. The Foozball table was a big hit. I'd definitely rent again!! Kenan it was awesome.

Pleasant stay in Weems

We enjoyed our brief stay at this home in Weems with fire pit and access to water. The house had all the necessities. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, though the geese tried to stake their claim on the dock. 😂 At one point, a group of 7 deer came sauntering through the back yard - fun to watch. We enjoyed a lovely fire one night as we watched the Hunter moon rise.

Excellent Stay

We enjoyed our stay in Weems. While we didn’t take advantage of any of the water sports, the location was beautiful and we enjoyed walking to the dock every morning to enjoy our coffee. It’s very peaceful. House was great.

Visit to attend a family birthday celebration

We visited in January, so we did not get to enjoy all the great water toys that are provided. Might need to visit again in the summer! The house is spacious, well-appointed, very comfortable and the hosts thought of everything.

Spring break 2023

We had the best time here. The house was so well equipped and the host gave great recommendations that we did investigate and were pleasantly surprised m. We made a lot of memories with the kids. The property is beautiful the dock was great. We loved the paddle boat and making s’mores at the fire pit. I highly recommend staying here.

Urbana Oyster festival

My family and I rented this house we were going to the oyster festival in Urbana The house was wonderful, my grandson and I took the paddleboat out in the mornings he loved it.

House on the Bay

What we loved: A helpful owner A beautiful house Access to the Chesapeake A pedal boat that my kids loved What didn’t work for us: Record heat during our week Jellyfish in the Chesapeake Not much to do for my kids when the heat didn’t allow for kayaking Our trip was good and my only issues are related to the weather and the location not being great for kids. My mother loved the house and it’s peaceful location. The wifi was also very good throughout the house. Kenan was an excellent host. Highly recommend this location for adults!

AN AMAZING MOTHER'S DAY GETAWAY

I hate to say this, but...our family, including my retired parents and our two beagles, had such an AMAZING first visit to Chesapeake Bay at this wonderful, quiet house on the water for a week. The house is not only modern and fully equipped with all conveniences and appliances (even a Keurig), but also very comfortable, clean and well maintained, and the owner is extremely responsive and attentive. We actually brought down way more than we needed because we didn't know that the house already had so many kitchen essentials and other cooking supplies (not just salt and pepper and oil lol). My mother even said that the cookware were better than the ones she has at home. Everything about the house was perfect. Plus, the town, including a Walmart, gas stations, fast food and other restaurants, etc. were all within a 10 minutes drive from the house. We ate so much fresh seafood, and enjoyed visiting all of the nearby fresh seafood and produce markets, though some of them were only open on certain days of the week or closed early on some days. I would highly recommend going to Old Farm Truck Market and Kellum Farms upon arrival. The Toy Garage was also fully equipped as advertised with the kayaks, paddles, life vests, fishing equipment, grill, portable chairs, and other toys; the canoe on the dock; the paddle boards; fire pit and Adirondack chairs in the backyard; all quality condition. While the weather was not entirely cooperative, my wife and I were able to take the canoe out one morning with our dogs, which was a new experience for them; and my wife had a great time kayaking for a couple of hours on another afternoon while I tried to do some fishing from the dock, which was not fruitful but enjoyable nonetheless. My Dad also enjoyed doing some painting in the backyard, which our dogs also thoroughly enjoyed. It was also nice just to hang out and watch TV, etc., at the house on bad weather days. We also had a great time going to Colonial Williamsburg one afternoon, which was only an hour away. I think if we had more time, we probably would also have visited Jamestown, Norfolk and Virginia Beach, which were not much further. Plus, it would have been fun to try fishing from the kayak and maybe crab trapping too. Maybe next time. Thanks so much for letting us stay at this house. We had so many amazing experiences, which are now unforgettable memories! Hopefully, we'll be able to stay at this house again in the near future.

Incredible property!

The house was exactly as advertised—traditional architecture with modern styling and furnishings. The land was lovely, and the access to the water was perfect. From the start, Kenan, the owner, was very communicative. Everything had been considered from ease of entry to a new sponge at the kitchen sink. The house was well equipped with anything you might need to cook in the kitchen and any outdoor equipment you might need in the garage. We had everything we could want for a relaxing trip! When we had a mishap, Kenan was incredibly kind, understanding, and helpful. If I could give him 6 stars, I would!!! I highly recommend this home!

Long weekend getaway

Beautiful house

Spacious, comfortable rooms. Beds very comfortable! Great access to outdoor living: side “porch” very nice and dining table in back yard is great. We didn’t use any of the water gear but I know it is extensive. Kenan a great host, giving us insider tips on what market to use and the closest place for ice cream (Kellum’s)! There is a binder provided with great information on local eateries, etc,

Comfortable home to relax

The home was clean and comfortable. We brought our pet and our infant, and had plenty of space to all get some quiet time. It is a pet friendly place, which was great for us, but if you're super allergic to pets, you may want to take note. We had a wonderful relaxing time. The owners were great and even sent us updates on events in the area while we were there. We checked out a few of their recommended spots and weren't disappointed. They are well equipped for a full back yard BBQ and relaxation. Only down side is you can't see the water from the house, but the dock is on the property and lovely way to relax. I would absolutely stay here again.

great home on the northern neck

We had a great time staying at this home. We really enjoyed the use of kayaks and paddling around the cove. It was great to be able to bring our dogs who loved going down to the dock each day and watching the mud crabs. We had deer and and owl visit us during our stay. The house is super clean and close to everything. We tried many of the hosts recommendations including Vine restaurant which was delicious. Thanks for the use of your house!

A wonderful home away from home

We just got home from spending 5 nights at the Weems Waterfront Home and we had a wonderful time! The home had everything we needed, down to special little touches like phone chargers and plates/cups/bowls for our kids. The beds were very comfortable - our kids loved the bunk beds. We enjoyed going down to the dock each day - it was such a beautiful setting. The home was very clean and well-organized. Kenan was a wonderful host - we were given so much helpful information and followed several recommendations and we were not disappointed. This was our first visit to this area and we truly enjoyed it and would highly recommend this home!

lovely river home with proximity to everything

The home is clean, kitchen very well stocked, and a short ride from multiple restaurants and grocery stores. We enjoyed spending the day on the kayaks and paddleboards including a close view of dolphins near the rappahannock. The upstairs bedrooms are larger than their pictures and the yard is very peaceful and fun to see the little mudcrabs by the dock.

Outstanding Experience

First, the booking process was quick and easy. Communication with the owner was outstanding. I never had to wait for a reply. A tropical storm passed through the area during our stay. I received a message to check on us and to wish us better weather for the remainder of our stay. Second, the house was EXTREMELY clean and tidy, allowing us to easily relax and feel comfortable. Finally, everything was provided for us, making our stay there easy, pleasant, and comfortable. It is easy to recommend this property to anybody looking for a rental in this area.

Awesome Getaway on the Water!

My family had an amazing time at this incredibly clean and charming house on the water! The dock and available watercraft had us spending many hours paddling and peddling the gorgeous waterways around the area. In the evenings we sat around the firepit, gazed at the stars and enjoyed the s'mores provided by the host! Kenan was terrific, seeing to our every need, and providing lots of extras like the fishing poles, yard games, rolling dock cart, adirondack chairs and many other items that made our stay very pleasant and memorable!

Beautiful home

Home was clean and as described on line. Nice location. We did not get to utilize the fire pit or water activities due to weather and the fact that it was a busy few days with other commitments. I would rent this property again if back in the area.

Fantastic getaway!

What a charming, comfortable & fun waterfront escape - and literally the best equipped rental we've ever stayed in! Fantastic kitchen with everything you'd need. Canoes, kayaks, a paddle boat, yard games - we had plenty to keep us busy right on the property. Favorite things - fishing off the dock, s'mores by the firepit & the ability to bring our pups along for the long holiday weekend. Highly recommend and would definitely come again! Lovely home, thoughtful touches and a great yard!!

We had a great stay at the Weems Waterfront cottage! The house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. They have thought of everything. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals and bake up some treats. The yard is amazing and our doggos loved it. They have a grill and lawn games in the garage, and a firepit. The office was perfect for work from home and the living room with the gas fireplace provided a perfect ambiance for game night. Couple recommendations: If you bring a pup, stick to the yard. The neighborhood isn't very conducive for dog walks. Also, head to Merrior for great views, food (oysters!) and drinks. There are cute towns close by - Kilmarnock, White Stone and Irvington have little shops and restaurants worth checking out. The Book Nook in Kilmarnock was really special. The owner let's you pick your price based on what the book is worth to you. The house guide has lots of other great recommendations. Two thumbs up!
