A truly excellent BnB. The property itself and the individual rooms have a distinct and individual charm and personality. The rooms are also clean, warm, comfortable, interesting and beautiful. The village of Crosscombe is a hidden gem and the Terri, the BnB’s host is outstanding. She is both personable and professional making one’s stay at the Cross a truly distinct experience. I would recommend coming to the area just for the charms of the BnB and the village. It’s proximity to Wells and the Mendip hills make it an ideal base.

Fantastic Independent B&B - Top class
Fantastic little B&B close by to the city of Wells. The Owner Terri was extremely welcoming upon arrival and throughout my stay. The breakfast was top class and a wide choice of options too. Highly recomend and will return on my next visit to Wells.

Very large apartment, plenty of room. Includes kitchen. Terri the owner very sweet and helpful. Bring your own groceries ahead of time or go out for dinner ahead of time as the town is a little village. Or you can drive to restaurants in Wells. Parking onsite or in the street next to the property. Very quiet area. Wonderful homemade breakfast in the morning by Terri! We loved our stay on our way to our next stop which was Bath.

Great little place.
It was a really lovely place to stay. Really enjoyed ourself as a family of 3. Terri was lovely and so helpful. We would definitely stay there again. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The only downside is the parking. There really isn’t any. There are 2 bays for the hotel and then it’s street parking. The stairs are quite steep to go up to the rooms but it was well furnished and just really nice.

We had a great time at the cross. Terri was an excellent host . The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast, well there so much variety and all fresh. We would definately stay there again.

We booked two rooms for one night. Beautiful property with very comfortable and characterful rooms. The owner/hostess was attentive and cooked a great breakfast for us all. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Exceptional B&B in a lovely historical village set in a beautiful valley. Wonderful friendly host, superb comfortable and well equipped accommodation, good breakfast, piping hot shower, huge fluffy towels. We certainly plan to come back soon. We had the lovely apartment with separate kitchen/dining room, very spacious

Situated in a picturesque village, Terri was warm and friendly when we arrived And throughout the stay. The cross is beautifully decorated and furnished. Cooked breakfast outstanding. All needs and tastes looked after. Will definitely stay again, and highly recommend to others.

We were made very welcome on arrival with tea and delicious cake. We couldn’t fault the accommodation which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also good. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Absolutely Wonderful!
My wife and I stayed here for the long Easter weekend with our 6 year old son. We absolutely loved it. The place is situated in a picture perfect village with a lovely local pub and lots to see and do in the surrounding areas. The host was wonderful - couldn't have been more welcoming. The cooked breakfast was 10/10 too. I highly recommend this place for a nice weekend getaway.

Such a pleasure to find this delightful B&B. Terri was so welcoming and provided much needed tea and scones on arrival. The room was large and very comfortable, with everything we needed. Lovely large fluffy towels in the bathroom. Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and freshly cooked to order. We will definitely be going back.

A delightful stay with a great host
We were recommended this B&B by someone who’d previously stayed here and were not disappointed. Had a really enjoyable stay. Room was spacious and extremely clean. Breakfast was more than ample and included fresh fruit and a full English. Location was great for us, with Wells and Shepton Mallet both just a few miles away. We found Terri, the owner, really accommodating to our needs and we would not hesitate to stay again.

What a beautiful place The Cross at Croscombe is. A haven of comfort, warmth and kindness in one of the most picturesque villages I have ever stayed in. Terri is a wonderful host - nothing is too much trouble for her. She manages a perfect mix of friendliness and professionalism to provide a stay worth writing home about. Warm welcome & delicious cake
We received a wonderfully warm welcome with delicious lemon drizzle cake and tea. Terri was away on holiday but her friends could not have been any more helpful showing us around and booking the local pub for our dinner. Excellent service as we arrived and a delicious breakfast freshly prepared for us this morning. Our only minor complaint was that we found the pillows too firm but that’s personal taste. The road is a little noisy at the front, no problem at the side or back I imagine, so if it’s an issue for you, I’d ask for a back room.

fantastic and historic property - great local pub andf a short drive into Wells or many local trips such as Longleat, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey hole caves. Great restaurants in Wells which is a 5 minute drive. Breakfast was great and offered tea and scones on arrival which was a lovely touch in the courtyard. 'Chew' room was perfect for a family of 4. highly recommend

Beautiful property. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome from the host with a welcome pot of tea on arrival. The breakfast choice was excellent and beautifully presented. The property location is excellent for exploring the region. We’ve found a little gem and hope to be back soon.

Top class boutique B&B
A very enjoyable stay at the Cross. This really is a top class B&B. Terri was an excellent host throughout our stay. We were upgraded on arrival. Our room was spacious, comfortable and complete with full set of amenities. Breakfast was an excellent and varied spread of fresh fruits, cereals, fruit juices. The cooked option was very tasty. A bonus was the honesty bar and comfortable lounge. Overall I would certainly recommend staying here if you visit this locality.
