「The cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for me and my husband. We were in the area to kayak the Kickapoo River and the cabin was close to where we launched (about 8 mins). It was cozy to relax in after 12.5 miles of kayaking. We enjoyed sitting outside, seeing wildlife including a deer, and hearing an owl at night. We plan to be back!」

「The property was beautiful. The house had a lot of character and room for our large group to stay together in one location. The home was well stocked for our group and there were notes with directions that we appreciated. A slight downside was that the kitchen floor was dirty and sticky. We had young children that crawled there while we unloaded vehicles and their little hands and clothes became quite dirty. However, we did a quick floor clean up and we were good to go!」

「Place is simple and cheap, could use some upkeep on building, door sticks and the water spigot for the sink drips and being held with duct tape. No bathroom just a portapotty to use. And watch out for the mice.
It's a beautiful location on the west fork of the kickapoo River with access to the River.」
