「I was very happy to find this good value for money hotel when I came to Maui for the first time. My room number is 301 located at the corner of the building and for two consecutive nights the strong wind outside kept knocking on my door so I couldn't sleep well all night. My experience this time was really bad. Fortunately, I only stayed for two nights and hoped to leave here as soon as possible.」

「Royal Kahana is showing it's age despite the construction going on which made lots of noise during the day. Our unit was nicely renovated. The sliding glass door was noisy at night due to the high winds. Staff and security were very friendly. Parking was easy to find. We would come back.」

「This a great property that functions well for large events. The rooms are laid out hotel style so plenty of privacy with a large common room and kitchen on the top floor. The pool, gym, and theater are a definite bonus. The property has a short private path that opens onto a public beach. I cant recommend this place enough.」

Walkable to many restaurants including Whalers village which is right next door. 2 drawbacks : shower temperature was off and hard to adjust, shower was cold for at least 5 min before becoming warm and a very loud noise was always present coming from the generators in whalers village.
