"The apartment is very beautiful and the view outside feels so magical for someone living in Asia. Did not manage to use the sauna there as we were too cold and tired from our daily activities. The shower perhaps need a blind as friends staying there may not feel private enough when showering (for family maybe ok). Johanna is very friendly and warm. Am so glad to have meet her. "Good location! The house is in the corner and did feel very private even though there are neighbors nearby. The glass window facing the forest and no neighbor behind you is great! Glass roof is awesome. We saw northern lights 2 out of 5 nights stay from the comfort of the bed and then ran outside for pictures. Loved the hot tub and sauna. Place is as pictured. Great communication. I would definitely stay again! "

"When you drive at this hotel you must see that you will be transfer by sea boat to your room or separate hause if you reserved hause. Small island and friendly owners help you to stay comfortable. You can take your favorite food and something for BBQ if you want. But if you haven't your food you can order bracfest and dinner through check-in. Finally it seems everybody like sauna, lake beach, own BBQ and evening in the fireplace. "

"We had an amazing time over Christmas 2023. The villa is modern with all expected facilities and more(impressive pantry contents provided), the sauna and Hot tub were used frequently with views outside that you would only imagine on a Christmas postcard. Kimmo(owner) was excellent throughout our stay and was always available to answer questions. Nearest supermarket is 10-15 minutes away and includes a store where you can buy alcoholic drinks. "Absolutely fabulous little chalet in stunning setting . Accommodation was beautiful . Such a treat to be able to lay in bed and see the night sky and snowy trees. An idyllic, cosy, gem for a short break in Finnish Lapland. Staff were lovely too and the breakfast delivered each day was plentiful and tasty . Would love to return! "

"This is an incredibly nice hotel. The staff were kind and helpful, the room is very comfortable and clean, the food was good, and you get a discounted rate at a lovely spa a short walk away. My only complaint is that, as an American who lives in a country with a prison industrial system, I was hoping this prison-turned-hotel would be focused more on "Isn't it wonderful our crime rate is so low in Finland that we close prisons rather than open more? Look how we reused the space to provide a comfortable space for travelers to sleep and a nice cafe where people can enjoy meals together". The decor is lots of barbed wire and handcuffs attached to furniture and a giant mural of the prisoners in the restaurant. They make it nearly impossible to not think about the people who were once held there. I wish, much like the way a lot of old churches have been turned into secular community spaces, that this old prison felt more interested in a brighter future rather than clinging to a dark past."
