The building is nice and historical. Many facilities for guests to use. I like the drinking water the most.
A bit difficult to find the entrance and the 199 steps to hostel is without light at night. It is a bit dangerous if you back to hostel late at night as you can't see the steps.

「Excellent check in by Matt, enabled us to check in early and took all our bags up to the room for us. Room was clean and comfortable and we couldn't hear any noise from the bar downstairs. Excellent location opposite the train station and all local amenities on the doorstop.
Unfortunately the live act that was on was singing IRA Support songs and when my partner objected and complained we were asked to leave the bar. The singer did admit that he was wrong and had caused us being told to leave」

「Return visit like the area about 20-25 mins walk downhill to Whitby harbour area. Bus stop by school or Sainsburys minutes away.
Bedrooms clean and big for 2 people. Staff very friendly and helpful. Car parking free and if u forgot anything there is a sainsburys fee mins walk away
Breakfast has various choices to suit different appetite too and family friendly. Would return again」

Scratchcard parking provided for "W Zone", so all good.
Plenty of living room seating, dining table, and a real fire (but we had no need to light it).

「Lovely place to stay. We spent the bank holiday weekend here and it accommodated all of our needs. Host was flexible and allowed us to drop bags earlier than check in time. Apartment was clean and spacious for 2 people. Would definitely stay again! 」
「Lovely little cottage. some damp but I suppose it is to be suspected with the age and location of the building. Windows are a bit stiff, but the kitchen window should be opened due to lack of an extractor. There was no soap, but everything else we needed was provided. The location was excellent and access was easy, aside from parking but we managed OK.」

「A great place to stay, we occupied the second floor (flat 1) which was well presented, it is an old building where I believe the owners live on the ground floor and let out the other floors. Only issue that needs adding to the directions is that access is from Walker street at the back of the residence as well as the parking, it took quite a while to work this out as only a postcode is given」

We also visited Eden Camp, Alpamare water park and had a walk up to Whitby Abbey. These were all fantastic locations to visit. Lovely part of the country.」

Everything was perfect it had a super king bed , extra large fluffy bath towels , top end fixtures and fittings, everything felt so luxurious, it was spotlessly clean and had its own secure parking space !!
