“Great for parking. Breakfast fantastic+. Clean room and all staff very welcoming. Couldn't fault anything.”

“There will be free ticket for whitby abbey. The building is nice and historical. Many facilities for guests to use. I like the drinking water the most. A bit difficult to find the entrance and the 199 steps to hostel is without light at night. It is a bit dangerous if you back to hostel late at night as you can't see the steps. The breakfast is very tasty and many different choices to choose.”

“Lovely little boutique hotel run by super friendly hosts. The rooms are quite something and the place is chock full of eccentric vintage finds, it has real character. We had a deep, luxurious bath in our room and the vintage glass bottle of bubble bath was a nice touch. We had the breakfast (veggie continental) one morning and it was delicious, lots of fresh little picky bits to eat and drink. It’s up on the cliffs with a lovely view of the abbey but still an easy walk into town. Just sad we……

“We liked everything about it but had problems at the dinner we ate there which we think were down to staff errors . The food service was very slow and our main course took 1 hour 30 mins from arrival . The manager did what she could by reducing the cost for us”

“We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings”

“Absolutely wonderful place we loved every minute!”

“Very nice apartment convenient for local attractions. Walking distance of Whalebone Arch. If, like me, you don’t have a var, it's within walkin distance of supermarket, local tourist bus which goes to all local attractions, including the Abbey. Be aware the loft appartment is up 3 flights of stairs, but once you reach it, it is very quaint and an ideal base. I was there when it was very strong winds and heavy rain, but the flat js very snug and warm so I was pleasantly surprised. Well stocked……

“The location of the cottage is excellent, right next to the river Esk and on a very quiet holiday park (in April anyway). There is an amazing viaduct over the river where there is bungy jumping every couple of weeks during the summer and you can walk over it into Whitby which is only 30 mins away on foot. The pool is NOT 24 hrs as advertised and you have to pay. The property can be a bit difficult to find because the name plaque of the plot is covered by an overgrown hydrangea. If you use what 3……

“We loved it, really central. ”

“Apartment was clean, warm and comfortable ”

“We had a lovely 3 night stay in the cottage. Very well equipped with anything you needed to make you comfortable. Clean and tidy and great location. X ”

“Beautiful lodge in lovely surroundings. Really handy for the park and ride into Whitby. The hot tub is great to relax in after a day exploring the area. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of storage space. Comfortable beds and large seating area. We really enjoyed our stay at Aspen Lodge and would love to return.”

“We ended up staying one night of the three that we booked. This was primarily because the moment we arrived at the place we discovered the pets weren’t allowed anywhere beyond the ground floor and, if they were “well behaved” into the kitchen area. This accommodation can only be described as pet tolerant and not pet friendly.”

“Lovely location clean lovely walks into whitby over viaduct. Property down a very steep slope .”

“Great place to stay. Welcome basket on arrival. Heating good. Washing machine and airer came in handy. 20 minutes to walk into Whitby. Parking outside front. Would definitely stay here again. ”
