Always something to do. Saw dolphins swimming outside the harbour, off the end of the pier this visit. I highly recommend a visit to Pannett Park with Whitby museum and art gallery in the middle.

Whitby is a beautiful town with a sandy beach, a gothic abbey and a fantastic choice of places to eat and drink. Loads of hills and steps to burn off the calories. Our favourite holiday spot.

Parking is difficult so plan ahead. Cold in Winter bring warm clothes. Gets very busy! Whitby is a magical place! We never tire of it!

We only spent 2 days here and the weather was not good, but there seemed plenty to do. There is a hop on/hop off bus service which takes you to the main sights. The North York Moors Railway from Whitby to Pickering is a must for an all day out.

Whitby is a place i have been coming to visit for years and I love it. There are a huge variety of shops. Quaint, cobbled streets, beautiful buildings. The 199 steps up to the Abbey, The pubs, restaurants are all just brilliant. Views.

Whitby is a wonderful town. I grew up in a seaside town and I have never seen so many Fish & Chip shops in my life! By the end of the week I was in desperate need of a steak! I highly recommend the Whitby Distillery and Abbey!

Lovely town but can be very busy. I last visited it out of season and enjoyed it more than the swarms of tourists in July. I'm sorry I wasn't there for the Steampunk weekend.

Busy, but you know what you're getting with a Yorkshire seaside town in summer. Plenty of history and heritage, not to mention the beach.

"Nice welcome on arrival and advice on local parking restrictions.
Nice residential area only ten minutes walk to the harbour and other attractions.
Spacious bedroom with mini fridge.
Would recommend this to anyone visiting Whitby, although Room only there are plenty of places to eat locally.

"Had a lovely stay at Argyle House, was comfortable and convenient. Easy to find and Bill gives you all the information you need. Close to major attractions and in a very walkable area. Room was clean and the slight gothic decor in our room was fun and on theme for the area. "
"Great stay with my daughter. Couldn’t fault it at all. It’s a lovely place in such beautiful surroundings, nice bit of an old fashioned feel to it. Staff were brilliant, and all the food was delicious "
"The room was great for our needs, very spacious with comfortable beds and a large bathroom. I was holidaying with my teenage granddaughter and the twin beds gave us plenty of room.
It was about a 10 minute walk to the harbour (anout 30 minutes to walk back, it's a very steep hill! Dont believe google maps that says mostly flat!)
There is a bus stop outside the hotel but we didn't use it. However, on our last evenung we had a taxi and it was £4.50."
