    Bathroom: Bath, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and logs for wood burner included. Cot and highchair. Welcome pack. Enclosed garden with patio, garden furniture and BBQ. 100-acre natural farmland grounds (shared). Bike store. Private parking. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring.. Over 200 years old, this former cow byre has been lovingly converted to a very high standard and commands panoramic views across the valleys of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The detached barn is in an idyllic holiday location at any time of the year, with beautiful walkways and cycling tracks and fishing available from the doorstep. Quaint little villages are abundant with tearooms, country pubs and restaurants. Whitby, with its historic connections to Captain James Cook and 3 miles of sandy beach, is easily accessible. Shops 2 miles.

    The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply.

Amazing place to stay.

Amazing place to stay. Really unique place with beautiful views. The owners of the property were so welcoming and friendly. We stayed at chrismtas and the place had been deocrated, a bottle of wine and some food was also left with a lovely card from the owners. Definitely looking to stay again!

We’ve just returned from an amazing week at Finkle Barn. This beautiful barn conversion was set in a gorgeous location with the most wonderful views. Close to Whitby (20mins) and other local beaches. Jane and family was a wonderful hosts and there if you had any problems (not that we had any). We would highly recommend this cottage.

Very clean and well presented.

Very clean and well presented. The hosts & family were lovely, friendly and helpful. The 6 score for local amenities was only because of its very rural location (but if that's what you are looking for then it's not a problem). The grandchildren took advantage of the availability of some horse riding and the hosts daughters made it a very enjoyable experience while keeping them safe. A drive to the coast is about 30 mins away along some scenic & rural roads. Finkle Barn is in a peaceful & remote setting with breath taking scenery, while still being in close proximity to more well known attractions such as Whitby. We loved it here.

We loved it here. The scenery is stunning, and the cottage is cosy. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. It’s a bit of a drive to the nearest supermarket, and don’t expect to be able to order a takeaway, but that’s the trade off you make for staying in such amazing countryside. We thought it was well worth it!
