「We appreciated greatly the warm welcome, amazing service, and no problem too difficult attitude of the staff. They made the hotel and our stay the success it was. Truly exceptional. 「There will be free ticket for whitby abbey. The building is nice and historical. Many facilities for guests to use. I like the drinking water the most. A bit difficult to find the entrance and the 199 steps to hostel is without light at night. It is a bit dangerous if you back to hostel late at night as you can't see the steps. The breakfast is very tasty and many different choices to choose.」

「The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time.」

「Found parking with ease. Access to house was via key safe. Front door a little stiff but fine. House was very comfy and well equipped. Although a toilet brush would have been preferred. On the surface was clean ish. Kitchen cupboard doors, doors and windows needed cleaning. Cobwebs everywhere! Towels and bedding was clean. Twin beds were tiny, not full size singles, so better suited for younger children. The biggest issue was the boiler. Heating was on when we arrarrived but soon the boiler went...

「This is the best apartment we have ever stayed in and we have been going to Whitby for 35 years !! Everything was perfect it had a super king bed , extra large fluffy bath towels , top end fixtures and fittings, everything felt so luxurious, it was spotlessly clean and had its own secure parking space !! Can’t wait till we can come again.」

This was primarily because the moment we arrived at the place we discovered the pets weren’t allowed anywhere beyond the ground floor and, if they were “well behaved” into the kitchen area. This accommodation can only be described as pet tolerant and not pet friendly.」

We also visited Eden Camp, Alpamare water park and had a walk up to Whitby Abbey. These were all fantastic locations to visit. Lovely part of the country.」
